Most valuable race of the summer jumps season so worth a thread I reckon.

Dont doubt plenty of horses have been lined up for this but Jamie Snowdons horse is one that catches my eye, particularly as he put this one away last backend specifically for this race (read his website blog entries of October, November and May).

Thought his last run behind a typical Dan Skelton improver (who was placed in the Feltham and Mildmay Novice Chase) at Aintree was full of promise as he lost momentum turning in getting stuck behind the weakening leader but stayed on to some effect into third place, shaping as though the extra 2 furlongs would suit. His jumping was pretty good for such a lightly raced chaser in his first handicap and Im not sure why the 4th that day - Southfield Vic - is half the odds reopposing on the same terms.

Should be more to come and whilst there are entries from the big stables I reckon the 14-1 is fair enough, and the stable won this a few years back when it was the Summer National. Should be a decent contest.

Henllan Harri ( 10/1 wh) must have a good chance in this race.
Well weighted imo, and trainer Bowen's stable is in cracking form.

Agree on paper but the Bet365 was a very funny race this year and Im not convinced he can repeat it. Shame as Im a massive Peter Bowen fan and yes a 4lb is punitive for such a valuable pot.
