Seventh Heaven looks a very good thing hence only 5/4; she has the ground and distance she likes, but cannot say the same for most of the others.

she's one of my favourite horses in training having landed me a touch at York last season, very talented animal.

will she be 100% ready to go though? Would have thought the Coronation and other races down the road are the goal

Seventh Heaven landed me a touch too in the same race; she ran an extremely good race behind Jack Hobbs at Meydan recently but infront of Postponed who sadly has been retired today because of injury.

I'd fancy Across The Stars here as the filly has a 3lb penalty, but whether he wants fast ground (it should be rattling fast if they haven't watered - strong winds and nothing more than a few drops of rain all week) is another matter. Horses running in the Voltigeur with a 3lb penalty have an abysmal record, so I was surprised he ran as well as he did that day. He's lightly raced since the Derby and this will surely be a good season for him. Sure he'll be fully wound up as Stoute has a fine record in this, but ... let's see if they water, even if it's only the dip.

Seventh Heaven won the Yorkshire Oaks in a time about one second faster than the winner of the Voltigeur (Across The Stars was 3rd); previous results showed ACS is also more at home with give in the ground; the distance is a minor concern too as he faded in the last 2f in the Epsom Derby.

The only negative with Seventh Heaven is the price, very short but could she be shorter tomorrow? Very possibly, if the Coolmore boys venture into the betting ring.

If the price is a negative I would've thought that was enough.

Thanks for clarifying which Derby you meant, Imp 123. I would suggest another concern might be the lack of pace. Her best runs have come in big fields, held up off a strong pace and running on strongly after taking a while to build up momentum. Tomorrow might well be a messy race.

Non runner. That's slightly ruined the race - which is becoming a consistent let down these days.

Across The Stars is out, unfortunately.
