They were doing insurance concession on all races upto £25 on Cheltenham festival site Jan 27

Had a bet on a few horses which are now moved to other races..  wanted to take the concession as a free bet ...

Couldn't to do so.... as staff weren't sure what the rules were... but horses were scratched out of the race

Not blaming staff ... but WILLIAM HILL can't offer concessions like that if they can't be bothered to inform staff....

Went to 4 different shops....same outcome

Will think twice next time they offer a concession!

the way i read it is if your horses doesnt run at the festival, then you get your money back....if it runs in a different race, then you get a free bet concession ( upto 25 ).....

if your horses that have potentially moved to other races and do indeed run, then you are entitled to the max 25 free bet......if they dont run in any of the other races that theyve been moved to, then you are due your full stake back??

The entire marketplace would be all the better if these jokers forgot about "concessions & special offers" , and actually returned to TAKING BETS.
No doubts, no confusion, just do what holding a Bookmakers license expects of you...........Angry
