well the forms in the bag now so weather and wellbeing are the only variables heading towards tuesday 14th . if the ground comes up decent i would like to be with a flat bred horse and if soft obviously a nh type . on a decent surface i like bunk off early who is obviously going to be layed out for this race given the name of the connections . melon ,well he has the right connections etc but hard to see him cope with this given his experience so far . finians oscars form doesnt look much to me . defi du seuil i dont think he will run in this . vibes out of hendersons yard is that charlie parcs was in no way peturbed from his fall, on the contrary . i think its between bunk off early and charlie parcs whom may be a big price atm

Henderson Indicated The Triumph will be his aim - which is a shame as he was my main bet in this....

ya im not so sure though . i think henderson puts his best novice in this race . altior , bovor dauir , vaniteax , my tent , sprinter , spirit son etc and i dont think jp owns his bottom so i think he will go here

the talk ive seen is that you need to be a 3 miler in the making . born out by al ferof , best mate , champagne fever et al . theres lots of speedier winners though , shadow leader , french ballerina , hors la loi , go native . french ballerina had too much pace for his song . in fact a few years ago the preview guides urged you to look for a speedier pedigree when sausalito bay won . as far as i know the course is the same . melon will be a melon imo i expect the jumping to fall to bits as walsh tries to win it from the front not enough experience imo , under pressure he will faulter . so whos gonna do him imo if cp doesnt run then bunk off early is natural from what we know ,but, ruby has all the experience . if he goes for melon then ill take it that bunk off early etc are not good enough and look beyond mullins and henderson to win this time. maybe its as simple as finians oscar
