Not really fair play to them as they should have refunded your stakes. If a race is abandoned (unless it is rescheduled soon after at the same course and not reopened to new entries) then the race is voided for betting purposes. All bets, including ante post bets that were not entered at final declarations, then have their stakes refunded. If you cannot win in a race then you should not be able to lose.
However, good that it was all dealt with quickly. Sometimes it can be a hassle pointing out the rules, which often people in the shop or even head office don't understand.

CD, Yes it wasn't much, €60 but yes as you say back in account very quick. So It does not matter when your horse is pulled from the race, all money back if meeting is cancelled, is that correct.

Yes that's right Lucky. All bets on a voided race should be refunded. Do push back though if any bookies refuse to refund saying your horse wasn't declared.
