Surprised no thread so here goes

For me best horse in the race by a mile is CUE CARD, having said that 10lb higher mark, and first time out this season... feel in a good mood to take this horse on as think he may be ait vulnerable to the like of lower weighted horses such as Dynaste, Virak and Blacklion and this is more of a prep race for bigger fish to fry in the season - betfair chase... King George ... Gold Cup.... route

Of the trio I really fancy the chances of Blackion (I backed earlier this week) real good winner of a good RSA chase beating Shaneshill and More of That, it was a gutsy win and does have more of a solid profile for a race like this.  Think he will maintain the good record of RSA chase winners who tend to be horses to follow the following season.

Interesting from a stats perspective not many 10 year olds have won this, and only a handful of top weights - so with a few expected withdrawals, and a lot of old timers in the field, think the 6/1 available is still very good value.

Those taking odds on Cue Card - at this stage need there head testing really.

Good Luck.

I'm on Blaklion too, been backing it all week at any offers above 13/2.

NTD will have horse really fit for this race and Cue Card can be vulnerable FTO, especially giving away weight.

His price is based on him running to King George form.

Sorry to jinx you guys but I am also on at 8/1 e/w - looked obvious 2nd fav and with the race possibly going to cut up
It lmd a cracking e/w bet with 3 places on offer.

Part of me won't mind at all if Cue CardLove wins, just as long as Blaklion gets a place. Bound to come 4th given my luck.Cry

cant believe the result really - quite frustrating not so much that Blacklion clearly was not fit... but a above average handicapper winning the Charlie Hall chase, couldn't have him at all...
