VA BANK is targeting a run in Germany on 28 August.

I would love to see VA BANK tested. Do you know which race, FatoteSport?
Meanwhile...CACCINI seems well on-target for the Grosser Preis Von Berlin on Sunday, which is rather unusual for a Polish animal. Exciting times for our Polish friends, it seems. |

Another stage in the Grosser this morning and we're still in. Just the six left now. Caccini is the only 3yo:

HM,
If you have a Polish dictionary close to hand, here's a link to Caccini skating home in the Polish Derby which you might find of interest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFnWrEKB-Kg&feature=youtu.be Being a sucker for a rags-to-riches story, I slipped a cheeky tenner on your Polish wonder horse at PP's (20/1) on the off chance it can extend its unbeaten run to 5. If Caccini does manage to pull off the impossible and finish first at Hoppegarten tomorrow, I promise to send you a cheap bottle of Polish vodka as your reward. Good luck to both of us. |

from Sea Bird sireline how many of them are there?

The price over here is very different to the one currently available on the local tote. If these German players know what they're doing this is the bet of the year in value terms...

Not sure if my eyesight is failing me, but on my screen, Caccini been backed from 200 to 150/1

Was 2nd fav around the 4-5/1 mark JD. Ran ok but I won't be expecting a bottle of vodka anytime soon.
Interesting little excursion anyway! Well done the Poles for having a go..Caccini made that race for more interesting than it otherwise would have been. |

Nice try anyway, HM.
You was almost my hero. |

No I didn't, JD, and I'm not happy about that at all. What an SP that was, I can't believe the Germans sent him off at those odds given Caccini was shorter for a G1. No doubt which is the better horse, certainly at the moment.
Ok, so now Team Valor have bought into Va Bank we're going to find out how good he is..which I'm pretty excited about..but not this year. Ironically/frustratingly he's going to sign off his season on October 2nd in the Wielka Warszawska. There's a little race going on in Paris the same day I'd prefer to see him in, but there you go. His record is believed to be the longest active streak currently in the world (perfect 12 from 12) and they'd like to keep that going into his 5yo season (fair enough!). Then the fun begins. Let's pray he ends up running in target No.1 (the Arc) and not target No.2 (that 2m H'cap in November) http://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/team-valor-buys-into-polish-champ-va-bank/ http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/214951/team-valor-acquires-half-in-unbeaten-va-bank http://www.teamvalor.com/video/VaBank.asp |

You've unearthed a rich vein of form with these Polish horses, HM.
Potemkin, the German horse Va Bank beat comfortably on its penultimate start at Baden-Baden, scooted home in Saturday's Prix Dollar at Chantilly. I must confess watching the link above you posted of Caccini turning over Va Bank in the Polish King George, sent a cold shiver down my spine; because if I would have known that race was taking place, I might have gone "all-in" on Va Bank. Sometimes Lady Luck has a strange way of showing her hand. |
