Minding is rated 6lbs higher than any in the field apart from Found (3lbs/stablemate/possibly an unlikely runner). Post this, very likely she'll be rested until the nearer the 'Arc' in Oct. The present price of 2/1 could be deemed very generous come race day, I think.

Could & IF, that's why she is 2/1. Even then I don't think the price is that tempting. What about the rest of the opposition and their prices?
So Mi Dar could even pitch up here

Minding is 2/1 best price, next best is Qemah (rated 8lbs inferior) at 8/1 but I believe she's not Nassau bound.
Even Song is heading for the Irish Oaks (12f), and Minding's last run against elder fillies was a prelude to the Nassau; So Mi Dar, in spite of Gosden having eight entries she's not one of them. In fact her 1st entry back from lameness is in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks at York on 18th Aug, but there's a supplementary for the Nassau on 25th July.

“She is a great filly. She loves her racing, and is getting very relaxed,” O’Brien said. “Ryan [Moore, her jockey] was delighted with her, and we will look at something like the Nassau.
“She has two options really for her next run, the Irish Oaks and the Nassau, and we are eyeing the Irish Oaks with Even Song.”

Herbert said: "Qemah has come out of Royal Ascot very well.
“I suspect Jean-Claude [Rouget, trainer] will keep her to a mile but she is in the Qatar Nassau Stakes so we have options. A race like the Falmouth might be more likely if it does not come too soon."

Gosden added: "She's a lovely filly. We were hopeful, and I did feel if I had a banker for the week - if there is such a thing - this filly was it.
"I'll have to tick the jockey off as he's hit the front too soon, but he's riding very well, our boy. He had to do his minimum weight for this.
"We've got black type at Royal Ascot so we'll just see where we go with her.
"There's a nice Group race in Deauville and there's nice Group race at Newmarket to think about. She could go a long way on the ladder."

So Mi Dar is still in the Irish Oaks but this was what Gosden said on 9th June under the heading "Quiet approach from John Gosden for sidelined So Mi Dar."
John Gosden will not rush So Mi Dar back into action after she missed the Investec Oaks last week. Unbeaten in three starts to date, the daughter of Dar Re Mi was an impressive winner of the Musidora at York last time and looked set to pose the biggest threat to eventual winner Minding in the Oaks.
However, not long after her victory at York it was announced that she would miss the Classic due to lameness.
At the time Gosden suggested it was only a minor setback and she would make the Irish Oaks, but he refused to be drawn on any targets.
"We will come back quietly in the second half of the season with her, but we have not set any targets. We are just looking after her at the moment," said Gosden.
"We will start moving on with her, but she is only walking at the moment,
"We will just go quietly as she has missed her mid-summer targets."
I'd like So Mi Dar to make the Irish Oaks because (if truly fit) she'd give Minding a run for her money let alone Even Song. I also have several large bets on her which, at the moment, I've consigned to the bin - I strongly believe So Mi Dar will be scratched from the Irish Oaks but glad to be proved wrong.

Peeping Fawn and Legatissimo both put up great performances in the Nassau after similar campaigns to Minding so no reason to think O'Briwn will aim elsewhere.
It's hard to argue that 2/1 is a gift.Peeping Fawn and Legatissimo both put up great performances in the Nassau after similar campaigns to Minding so no reason to think O'Briwn will aim elsewhere.
I'm fairly new to this game hence had no idea Peeping Fawn and Legatissimo took this Nassau route too. With the likelihood of Qemah staying at 8f Minding is value at 2/1 especially when Even Song's target is the Irish Oaks.
Minding will run here unless Even Song is unavailable for the Irish Oaks, and she'll start long odds-on, if so.

Cliff Richardson, the CEO of Cheveley Park Stud and owner of Persuasive, has indicted it's a possibility that Persuasive could go for the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket next friday. If so, another opponent less for Minding to contend with.

think goldikova won 14 group 1;s..........minding could win 4 more this year. that would be 10. surely stays in training..........16 by end of next year.
