blue de vega awtaad

Well both stayed in today so there must be some chance.  Of the two BDV looks to have more of a middle distance pedigree.  Actually, Charlton, I think he's the value in the Derby market at the mo.

I'm very keen on Awtaad on tomorrow. In terms of the Derby sire Cape Cross is obviously a huge positive although dams sire Shamardal is deffo not. Wherever Awtaad finishes tomorrow (within reason!) if hes running on I'll be topping up.

Cape Cross needs plenty of help from the damside to get a top notcher at 12f in my humble...and I'm not seeing it here.  But he's a good horse no doubt so in a murky year maybe a top class 10f colt could see it out?

Backed Awtaad today.  V happy with 13-2.  was tempted to take 50-1 for the derby but decided against it as it looks like  a solid miler ala Rock of Gibralter.  I'll bet they make this a ridiculous 2-1 for the fav which it will not go to,

what is blue de vega doing at 300/1??

if he runs he will be about the 2nd or 3rd top rated, will be just about the only horse with G1 form. stoute german female line. multiple lines of form with awtaad, now the top rated 3yo in the country. would start maybe 10s. so presumably has no chance of running??
