This has been on my radar for a while, was going to be my Grand National horse but didn't get in.
Won the Becher in December and trainer put him away since as he goes well fresh. Was talking him up the week before the national how well he was before missing the cut.
The time before he'd finished 2nd in a handicap chase lugging 11-12, and has some serious other form - such as 4th in a Hennessy and almost giving 2 stone to Standing Ovation in the Desert Orchid at Wincanton.
Cracking recent form, cracking old form, 10-4 instead of lugging big weights, intended runner as jockey already booked (Henry Brooke who won on him last time out), plenty of confidence as blue across the board on Oddschecker, and one bit of 25s left (365). With uncertainty over a number of runners, this beast wants backing as he's definitely going for it and has lots in his favour. Will probably go off 12s or 14s.
