Strong bias towards those lower down handicap, only godsmejudge (11-03),carrying over 10-09lb to victory in the last 11 runnings.
Agree plenty to come out,as ever need decs and ground. |

I like the look of
Seeyouatmidnight Royale Knight Top Wood |

take a chance on HIGHLAND LODGE around 25-1 w/p.
looked a good prospect until losing his way for emma lavelle, 4th in the hennesey(143). bought by james moffatt and was a game winner of the beacher chase(125), raised to 137 for that win which will put him in with around 10-3 for saturday. good luck with your picks. |

really like Cogry but not sure if he will get in

How unlucky has Golden Chieftain been? Tizzard still churning out the winners and must have a squeak if he manages to stand on his feet
Will wait for final decs and ground before final decision |

When are final decs?

Verdict Folsom Blue will be striving to complete a unique treble for trainer Mouse Morris. He was fourth to stablemate Rogue Angel in the Irish National at Fairyhouse and bids for glory in this just a week after Rule The World won the Crabbie's Grand National for the stable at Aintree. All three carry the colours of Gigginstown, as does Willie Mullins' Measureofmydreams. The latter will be among the market leaders having finished third in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham, which has been a good trial for this in the past. Cause Of Causes beat A Good Skin in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham and is a former winner of the National Hunt Chase. He and the lightly-weighted Heathfield also form part of a strong Irish challenge while the locals will be cheering on smart novice Seeyouatmidnight, though he finished behind Vyta Du Roc in the RSA Chase at The Festival. Highland Lodge and Alvarado missed the cut in the Grand National but both have decent claims here. The former won the Becher Chase in December and the latter was fourth in last year's Aintree spectacular when finishing ahead of Royale Knight. SHOTGUN PADDY easily beat Royale Knight in a Grade 3 at Warwick a couple of years ago and the fact that he is 20lb better off is testament to how well he is treated at present. Emma Lavelle's stayer, fitted with cheekpieces today, has been placed in both the Welsh National and Eider Chase this season and is readily forgiven his run on bottomless ground at Uttoxeter last time. He is the selection though Kerry Lee, who won the Welsh National in January, appears to have the found the key to Goodtoknow, who is on a hat-trick. Vicente, Milansbar and Gold Futures may all be too high in the weights now but Masters Hill usually runs his race and has place claims. |

I really like Milansbar at 25s imo got a very average ride at Uttoxeter in the Midlands National
Going to do Folsom Blue too. Early season I thought this horse might make a Grand National horse but seemed to lose confidence with jumping after good debut, a good placed effort in Irish National last time-stable did have the National winner so maybe this has been the plan all along. adding Milborough for the forecasts and tricast |

Sticking with Golden Chieftain and hope he stands up this time, with a few quid on Ballyculla
|

I got this race wrong last year but my plan of attack this year is Highland Lodge, Tour Des Champs, Sun Cloud and Alvarado. Was worried about the King horse the Mullins horse and Golden Chieftan but thought the former selections shaded it. Open race though

A Good Skin @ 33/1 for me

By:
Heathfield for me, low weight, loves soft going, aimed for this race, e/w steal in my eyes.

By:
Tour Des Champs, for me as thought Cogry had a great chance but did not get in. NTD had both and left Tour Des Champs in so he will do for mw

Just the 30,on ground still described gd/sft,the times yesterday suggest its slower than that.
Folsome Blue....plenty big field experience, looks well treated on his best form, ground fine, vibes negative if we believe recent reports, would be some performance if trainer can pull off 3 nationals in a row, solid profile. Sun Cloud....his chance not so obvious, tongue tied on his last run, travelled well without being put in the race, was that a sighter for today.Bits of form, eider couple of years ago when he fell, suggest he has a squeak. The claim brings him down to 10-1 lb, canny trainer in form, healthy 20% sr with chasers,trainer/jockey 6/11 is impressive, think he,s overpriced around 66/1. Cracking handicap GL ALL |

SHOTGUN PADDY 33/1 not sure why so big - nice weight - ground should be ok ...can do distance... obv got ante post play wrong here... we will just have to see...

I like the look of
Seeyouatmidnight Royale Knight Top Wood Thought I had 1-2 going to to the second last ......and Top Wood was cruising , there was quite a way to go mind. |
|
By:
Some good shouts......plenty ew money collected.....well played winners.
Folsome blue, like top wood, was still bang there when brought down, sun cloud stayed on nicely into 6th just missing out on a return, both may have preferred it softer. Numbers 3 and 5 on race card in the first three, like the english version, the quality and ratings may be on increase, thus making the weight trends trickier to work out. |

By:
Heathfield ran like an absolute donkey !

yep had shocking national results over the English and Scottish versions... they were definitely tough to work out!
