Yanworth at 7-4 looks a great bet to me. Barters Hill now confirmed for Donny, and whilst I respect Shantou Village, I have the feeling Yanworth is a class above, and 7-4 in what looks a two horse race, looks value.
Not for me at that price even though I think he is a top class Grade 1 beast. I just don't see him being a 20f horse at the moment. I've a small bet on with PP on Charmix ew at 6/1 as it is likely to be testing ground and he'll handle it fine probably.
Yanworth has hacked up on Soft too, but if it gets Heavy then over 20.5f it's a watching brief imo.
Shantou Village has not run for 78 days and is probably going to need the run a bit.
Several other promising horses in this race with form at the trip. Amazed you think it is a two horse race CCM!

Just can't see any reason Champers on Ice could reverse form with SV myself. Don't see softer ground being an issue and no rain forecast between now and the weekend anyway, so shouldn't be too soft.
Charmix isn't a bad horse, but just can't see him troubling the two principals.

Really interested that you are worried about the trip Sint, as I know you are a big fan of the horse. I am absolutely certain he will relish it. Not many horses finish off in a Cheltenham bumper like that and don't stay 2.5 miles.

He may get the trip CCM but for me he's looked so good over 2m, where the form has been franked several times, I just don't see the need to go up in trip but half a mile. He may get it and the trainer/jockey are confident he will.

As per the chat on the Cheltenham thread, I just don't see the downside to trying it myself.
He looks like he should stay to me. If he gets the trio well at the weekend, they have a much clearer picture of where they are with the horse and what he can do. If he doesn't get home, then makes their decision that much easier. Especially as it's course and distance as well.

I fancy Yanworth too but I'm going to wait and see how the overnight rain affects the ground. I have reservations about backing him in a bog at this trip.

shame they've left Barters Hill in and messed the market up.
Agree about the ground... When Instarted this thread I looked at the forecast and there was no rain for the whole week! Bloody loads of it tonight now... Should certainly make things interesting.
