The update on the Pipe blog last week did n't sound particularly encouraging to me:

no doubt the next time we see the horse he'll be wearing headgear and dogging it around Taunton in a Class 3 handicap

Thanks RH, had missed that. Doesn't sound anywhere near running then.

A shame, looked pretty special in last years Bumper. Great turn of foot and traveled really well too.

Quotes from Pipe below, surely not? Would be bold move:
Moon Racer might go straight to Cheltenham," said Pipe. "It's a case of so far, so good with him, but he won't run before the Festival." |
By:
Can't help thinking if he goes straight there, he'd be better off in the Neptune, things surely happening too quickly for an unraced (over hurdles) novice in the Supreme.
Stabel form has n't been great all season either - but would n't be the biggest surprise if that changed by the time the Festival comes around. |

Surely to Christ they wouldn't dream of running him at the festival without a prep run over hurdles?

Would be mad, but this is a very special horse imo. The 3 horses behind him in the bumper have franked form especially a certain beast today.

Yanworth has improved a ton since then, and, that was a flat race.
