No thread so thought id take a stab at it...

A lot of support came in for this horse last time out... the yard expected him to run well but was somewhere near last in the Ayr Gold Cup, maybe he has gone of the boil but at one stage was a real decent horse and has track form... but interesting Graham Lee has kept faith and I will give him one more chance ... and he is still on a handy mark... and 25s is generous.

I also like Eccleston - but I doubt he will get in and OMeara has others declared so will wait.

Good Luck

Cracking sprint handicap, somewhat overshadowed by the ces this week.

Im going to give Highland Acclaim one last chance at 16-1.
I'll forgive him his run at Ayr as it was his 3rd race in three weeks and in hindsight I feel the Portland was the target. His 4th place has worked out well with both the winner and 3rd going in next time out.

He likes York with his last 3 runs over C&D with a bit of give reading 1,2,2 and indeed was 2nd in this race last year off a 3lb higher mark. Currently soft but liklel to be g/s on saturday which will be ideal.

I agree with Iris about Eccleston who is a winner in waiting and who may just squeeze in at the bottom and Faheys George Bowen looks a solid fav but Im going in one more time on Hghland Acclaim!

Can see Fahey taking this with George Bowen. I like this horse a lot. Good class sprinter - and improving.

Another I like is the top weight Poyle Vinnie. On the day a class act. Good trainer too. Won a good race against some useful types at Hamilton.

Shared Equity and Foxtrot Romeo will do for me both have dropped down the weights while running well Shared Equity has an 8lb pull with Poyle Vinnie from the Stewards cup run and pricewise has put up Poyle. Think both have a good chance here
