Silverwave has been on my radar for this for a while, really like him and was very impressed with his win in the Prix La Force. I think he would prefer softer ground but he has won on synthetics so hopefully the predicted dry/warm weather and Good ground will not be a problem for him... the draw might be!!!

Any betting available?
New Bay the big eyecatcher lto. Karaktar has been called a machine by his trainer but what's he beat? |
|

No betting on Oddschecker yet Sint!
Karaktar and Silverwave both beat the very exposed Medrano by similar distance's (7 lengths / 6 1/2 lengths). By the look of that there doesn't appear to be much between them but I'm expecting Silverwave will be a bigger price than Karaktar on the day. |

Happy with Silverwave getting barrier 2! Karaktar in 12 and New Bay in 13 not so good for them but only 14 runners this year. Hopefully it will be a clean race this year, it has been more like a Demolition Derby.

You're like Judith Chalmers CCM, traveling to all these great racecourses around the world. Looks a beautiful place Chantilly... I'm not jealous!
Along with Silverwave, Mostaneer at 25-1 is one at a big price I like, drawn 3 he will be my EW bet, unexposed and could be an improver. |

Looked at the numbers again and discovered I was wrong with High Dynamite so leaving him out.
Concerned about New Bay`s draw and also others improvimg past him so left with Silverwave(not Silverware) Any of about seven could win this I think but will stick with and have a little each way on Silverwave. |

Backed New Bay ew. Draw the obvious concern but can be negated a little when it's less than 15 runners, I hope.

looks a potentially high standard race this year.
medrano is an interesting link between uk and french form. a race to watch this time round imo |

If that is soft ground today then I'm a Dutchman.
Which I'm not. ![]() |

The times of the first two races suggest it's Good ground. On the PMU website the description is Good as well!

Well done Sint with New Bay and Muthmir. New Bay won pretty easy, the French 2000 Guineas form looks pretty solid with Highland Reel getting 2nd. The pace of the race looked very slow.
Silverwave was treading water a long way out, not sure what to make of that! ![]() |
|
By:
cheers Mr D. New Bay was asked to go for home around a full 2f out so it was either a slow pace or he has lots of stamina. He looks pretty good though, massive eyecatcher in the French Guineas.

New Bay was given a mountain to climb in the French 2000 Guineas and his jockey sort of did the same thing in this race but it worked out a lot better for him today. The time on the RP results page say the race was fast by 2.31s.
