looking through the runners wonder if mccoy will be on him, cant see what else he could ride, unless pipey wants him for the package.

looks well treated off 159, could be fresher than most of these. only 4 months ago he started 5/2 fav for the lexus, barry blamed the ground and said to nicky give me the same horse on good ground in the gold cup, pitty about the famous thursday night friday morning rain.

clearly gonna be good ground sat (little rain about), hoping he can get into a nice rythym over a longer trip, 16s ew, guessing thats down to everone thinking hes gone,

think he could start 5/1 fav

good luck all

couldnt think of a race more unsuited to a horse than this, doesnt jump well or fast enough, wont like the faster ground in my opinion ,and all its best runs the other way round, plus it looks like its fell out with the game,.reminds me alot of pumpkin sending denman to punchestown

Aye but its awfully well treated if the return to a sound surface does suit. I dont think he needs to go left handed, just happens that most of the top chases other than the King George are that way round. i agree youre taking a risk backing it as he may well have gone at the game but the price - 16's - does reflect that.

Personally want to see On His Own and Rocky Creek come out so Guess Again comes up to 10-4 and McCoy teams up with Malcolm Denmark and Tony MartinCool

Just backed GRAND JESTURE 16/1. This seven year old is on the upgrade..ran a fantastic race at the festival behind the druids nephew..travelled beautifully up with the pace and stayed on really well and only beat by a very well handicapped horse. Trained by the fantastic de Bromhead who it looks like has been saving it for the spring weather after a great run at Punchestown last year

I've went for Guess Again 36's to 42's, and might throw a few more quid on. I'll definitely add another couple during the week.

Agree giggity decent chance Grand Jesture, still well weighted after good run at festival, goes on present ground and jockey to take off 3 pound.
Meets a lot of stats and decent form to boot 16/1 too big!

It's Punchestown next week so been thinking it might go there instead..probably should have waited ..16/1 was the bait and I've ended up in the netPlain

He is entered for Punchestown Gold Cup wont be going for that imo.
Presume will have entry for 3 mile handicap chase.
But been money for it for Saturday, so fingers crossed.

Yes I took a risk on Bobs worth at 16s ... temptation was too great... seems like a regressive horse having run badly most of the season... but don't think he ran on suitable ground in all his runs ...surely there can be no excuses this time..

I hope Nico de Bionville is on him... great jockey - not sure Geraghty will be match fit...

If he turns up on Saturday - yes he will be favourite... but leap of faith required really but I am on.

Interesting trainer comments about Le Reve
"...While the majority of attention at Sandown will be focussed on Tony McCoy who has his final rides before retirement, Wadham has had her eyes on this prize since January, having skipped various options at Cheltenham, Liverpool and in Ireland..."

Lots of support for Grand Jesture this evening (must have been Pricewised)but happy with 33-1 Guess Again. Paul Townend is 6 from 14 in chases for Tony Martin in last 5 years (Ireland & GB) and 1-1 for Malcolm Denmark. Loved the way he rallied over 2m6f at Market Rasen after winning his previous 2 over 3m+ and was traveling sweetly in the Kim Muir before being unsighted and fell. Was entered in all the end of season chases and turns up here off 10-0 dead in a race that Denmark won with his last runner Hennessy.

Fear Grand Jesture and Le Reve the most.

Still think Paint The Clouds could be chucked in tbh. Few interesting ones in there though!

My clock says the following

Royale Knight
The Package
Paint The Clouds
Unioniste

Big ask for the first named after a gruelling Grand National but can`t leave out.

Will back them all each way.

Bobs Worth - first time cheekpieces.. and lower mark than his last handicap win since Hennessey... has got his ground no excuses.

He is the class horse.. but for me last chance saloon... if he doesn't beat this lot... they should retire him as he owes connections nothing ...

Good luck to him!

Tricky race for punters, Grand Gesture does look the best selection, but Vic Canvess is interesting and Duke Of Lucca on this ground must be considered likewise Paint The Clouds.

Poor run from Bobs Worth again... they should retire the horse really... you achieve such heights don't think ex champs should be humiliated any further.

Yep - disappointing that - people who backed that must be gutted - its probably the worst case scenario... from a betting perspective and great from a bookie perspective...

Personally I feel should be treated as a non runner... if you have a DNS

Have to say I came on to bemoan the run of Guess Again who would have won the race in my opinion if the rain hadnt have come. To back it e/w at 33-1, jump the last in front and finish 5th was pretty gutting. I did, however, get a run, unlike AP backers of Grand Jesture. Not sure exactly what the horses handlers were playing at mind you, when its obvious they were going to go.
What makes it worse is I followed Just A Par on his first three runs this year and had noticed it was carrying a low weight for the first time in its life but didnt take heed of the late support and let it go unsupported.Grrrrrrr.

I do think, however, that Guess Again is one to watch in this years Galway Plate, which is only 3 months away...!!

Yes Guess Again was definitely one for the notebook... I think there is a lot more to come from this horse next season
