Looking at the 5 day entries and some interesting horses entered.

GABRIAL bids to follow up his Lincoln win and CHATEZ won nicely at Doncaster .
HAAF A SIXPENCE won the race in 2013 whilst last year's runner up SPA'S DANCER could be of interest at big odds although his best form is at Sandown.
The 4-y-o's  include DREAM SPIRIT from the Haggas yard, the unbeaten LIGHTNING SPEAR ,the Irish Lincoln winner ONENIGHTIDREAMED, SPECULATIVE BID and ZARWANN who was fancied for the Lincoln.

With the forecast looking set fair for the week ahead Good / Good to Firm should be the going but that of course depends on the clerk of the course and his watering plans.
Will narrow my selections down to 2 on Thursday . Good luck cc .

Will wiat for final decs, and while on paper he has no chance of turning the form around with Gabrial I'll have to give Zarwaan another chance in the hope he comes on a bundle for the run in the Lincoln.

Though I also see my other 'cliff horse' Loving Spirit is enteredCry - first run for Richard Fahey who has such a good record in these races.

Final decs in and 23 going to post at this stage.
Going at the moment is good to firm.

Looking at the possible pace in the race and i think mid to high is the place to be drawn.

Going to back two 4-y-o's in this who both look fairly treated and sure be open to more improvement this season.

SPARK PLUG : To me hasn't done a lot wrong so far and ground and trip look fine. First time out but trainer very shrewd and one of my fav jockeys in the saddle.

DREAM SPIRIT : Lightly raced and with stable always to be respected in these h'caps. Gets in on a fair mark and no reason why it shouldn't be in the firing line here .

Good luck cc.

My 'cliff' horse Ayaar is runningPlain Interesting to see how loving spirit runs now for Fahey with Ryan Moore booked. He also has Gabriel and the lincoln form looks strong (still patiently waiting for moohaarib to run again) but it gets harder to win these handicaps when you get up to a mark of 106.

DREAM SPIRIT looks to be best bet though. Clearly the most unexposed in the field, you can expect it to run its race for master trainer Haggas and hopefully can find the necessary improvement from 3 to 4.

Very tough race and definitely one to look back on.

Not had a bet in this race for a few years,
but love Jacks Revenge. His runs last year
against Absolutely So and Graphic is really
good form.
Travelled best at Doncaster but was given a poor
ride by Spencer.
1 lb lower here and better jockey on.
Has form on quicker ground.Highest draw, but
fancied horses also drawn high.Trip will suit.

Wish I'd backed Loving Spirt antepost now - think there was some 33/1 on offer? Certainly much bigger price than the 12/1 now that Ryan Moore is on board.Cry

Looks like 20/1 was the biggest price antepost.

Ayaar, typical two year old high flyer who cant physically improve much from 2 to 3,and later,so keeps running into late maturing types. Therefore hard to win with.Spark Plug "hasn't done a lot wrong," 6th of 8,2nd in a 3 runner race.
Why hasn't Loving Spirit won more races,he ran in the Guineas,i mean he's a "Group horse running in a handicap".To be fair the new trainer can PROBABLY get more out of him.

secret art at 33/1 looks the shrewd bet to me

god i taught i was the only one waiting for moohaarib to run .have to have two against the field here ,one mister music who is on a good mark if retaining any ability whatsoever ,and i must have bronze angel ,i know its a very big ask off this mark(111) but think he is just such a good horse ,has had his first run and am banking that the quick ground will nullify the discrepancy of the weight somewhat ,but like all big hancp like this am really just piss1ng in the wind and hope n for the best . Good luck at which ever way u play

feel GABRIEL is the likely winner but not a great price and drawn 22 so will go for BROWNSEA BRINK instead

Boom And Bust could be worth a speculative e/w bet at 50/1. On his best form he is dropped in and on fairly recent form he is weighted to beat Loving Spirit. He has run well here in the past, goes for the girl on top and will go on the ground.

red avenger each way? Far side draw not ideal perhaps.
Report custardcream64 April 20, 2015 2:30 PM BST
Cumani/Dettori combo turn the clock back with AYAAR who ran out an easy winner.Connections stated firm ground a big plus and looks set to be aimed at the Royal Hunt Cup [unlucky 5th last year].

SPARK PLUG again did nothing wrong and rewarded my e-w support with a gallant 2nd place.

MY other selection DREAM SPIRIT was eventually pulled out due to the firm ground. Trainer obviously thinks a fair bit about this one and will be worth keeping an eye out for when entered.
