Why would Fehily not ride Rock on Ruby?
|
|
By:
Apologies it appears that may not be the case.....
The Dorset handler said: "Noel is retained to ride Zarkandar and there is every possibility that he won't be available, but we will cross that bridge when we know the final decision. I've had a few text messages about it. "We've got two weeks to go. The horses and jockeys have got to get there first and the plans are fluid. "We can't confirm either way who'll end up riding him at the moment." ![]() |

Why would Ruby not ride Briar Hill??
|
|
By:
You would think so.. but I read that Ruby wont have a ride in the WH because of Annie Power going to the mares race... which was his main hope in the race. It was then touted he could ride Zarknder for Nicholls...
Anyway, with More of that out McCoy could be on Rock on Ruby... which is more likely... |

Ruby likes Briar Hill, and decent ground gives him a fair chance imo.
He will stay ok. Not sure ROR will. |

would think Nick Scholfield will ride.

Hope ROR does n't get psyched out thinking 'who's this bloke' and 'what's Noel doing with that bridle ponce?' before the race...

ROR might be thinking,Why don't they just let me run in the Champion Hurdle;
it's not as if my first two attempts were that shabby? |

I think CH will be too fast for him... think this is the right race...

ROR form at Cheltenham is outstanding.

Good point li, and I bet him accordingly for the Champion Hurdle this year. I really fancied him for it after his run at Aintree last season, I'm just pleased to see I wasn't the only one.
Easily my favourite horse in training. His 2012 win in the CH was my biggest ever win off one horse (put it up on here the Oct, Nov before, just in case I end up on aftertimers thread ). I got silly odds for him then, as about that time he was being thought of as a cert to go the Arkle route, but I just couldn't have had him as a chaser, and I wasn't surprised when it went wrong in The Arkle, though I did have a few quid on him out of loyalty that day I thought then that they maybe jumped the gun, ditching hurdles to go chasing, and I think there's a wee bit of that this season, hoping the longer distance is the answer, when they could have stuck to the CH route. I suppose he's a year older, and the youngsters might do him for toe, but I'd love to have seen him have one more crack at the CH. The World Hurdle isn't a race that normally grabs me, but as the 2 outsiders I've bet, Jetson, and Seeyouatmidnight are still in there, and the inclusion of ROR, means it's one of the races I'm most looking forward to for once. I'd love to have seen him have a try at the trip before the WH, so I've got my concerns, and even more so now he's not got Fehily on board, but I can't leave him unbet, and he'll be my choice on the day through hope and loyalty, rather than expectation. Good luck to all betting him ![]() |

Another reason not to back anti post. I only had £2 as a start but it is another loser before the race.
