stays over hurdles from wat ive read but anyones guess with NJH

Improved throughout last season but it’s likely that he might stay over hurdles and he’ll be very interesting because he won his staying novices with authority. He was really just a shell last season and he’s one that has done extremely well through the summer so I’d expect a good bit of improvement from him.

Thanks BJG, had missed that.

Been differing things said about him but Geraghty comment BJG posted below seems the most recent.

I've backed for World Hurdle so be pretty gutted if he went chasing. RSA is way too competitive this season to boot. World Hurdle looks weaker and is bigger prize.

have also been backing him for world hurdle and the form of his Aintree and punchestown wins is not too shabby ........very wood ,shannahns turn and col harden giving it a bit of a boost   ,will have to improve but likely too and  a fair price imo and more encouraging news from bjg

His novice form has hints of stardom, im a big fan of Beat That & MoreOfThat after backing both ap last season.

The problem with big owners, they spread their ownership to know more than us.

I have no doubt that Beat That could at least finish placed behind More Of That, without any improvement.

entered in Class 2 Hurdle at Cheltenham on New Year's Day, potentially a hot race with likes of Cole Harden and Garde La Victoire engaged at 5 day stage.

whether he runs is anyone's guess...

def. runs.Stable 2nd string....apparently.Vaniteux's a good horse but I thought he was their 2 mile candidate

TNO ended the 2 mile dream I think.

Rock on Ruby sets a good standard, super tough and consistent so we should find out plenty tomorrow, trip might be on the short side for Beat That plus he has to give Vaniteux 8lbs which might explain Geraghty's choice.

ROR shouldnt have any trouble conceding 8lbs to Vaniteux, top are bigger dangers imo.

Not the best of runs today imo. Beaten a long way in the end.

Connections would be more than happy IMO. Clearly needed the run, trip and ground unsuitable yet travelled kindly for a long way. Could be a different horse on spring ground and with the yard in better nick.

Definitely travelled like a very high class horse and not knocked around.

disappointing run imo...

betting, jockey booking and how he ran said last seasons hard races have left a mark

stable continues to struggle for form, along with jon jo's who have had a couple running a tad better the last couple of days...hendos haven't been so cancerous though tbf

Not a chance harry. The betting said it was a blow out to shake off the cobwebs, at an unsuitably short trip! Read nothing into it.

fair comment glossy but he didn't finish his race yesterday...i still believe geraghty ripped the guts out of the horse at puchestown last season...mercionary stuff imo glossy

That's how I read it anyway. As you know, it's all about opinions. Not a horse I've thought of backing but wouldn't be ripping up my betting slip if I had.

Reasons that he can improve for run are that he was having his seasonal debut, carried a penalty, trip and ground probably not suitable. Negatives would be he was beaten 27 lengths and his injury/setback which has kept him off the track until now. Maybe he is still to find his form at home? Anyway, he was not fancied in anyway shape or form judging by the market so his next run should be revealing. Obvious to say but the market and performance will say a lot about his credentials for the world hurdle.

going ! hendo said he wants good ground may go rendlesham if ground suits or straight to festival
By:

When: 26 Jan 15 15:33
Hendo thinks all his horses need good ground, regardless of whether there's any evidence that they do. I thought Beat That travelled like a dream last time when the ground was very dead.

BarryM is spot on. Extraordinary that a trainer believes that every single one of the 200 horses in his yard act best on good ground. Ridiculous

Not entered in the Rendlesham, master of Seven Brandies terrified of running his horses on soft ground. Quite fancied this for the WH but lack of a another run a worry.
