Not a race to go overboard on because of the forecast heavy ground but I think Muwaary should be much shorter here. The Jersey Stakes was run in a very fast time this year and in my view Muwaary's second there was a few pounds better than Shifting Power's Guineas fourth. I don't think the step back up to a mile should pose any problems, the horse is a keen sort but it could work in his favour racing prominently in a small field on soft ground. Hopefully he will have recovered from his Ascot exertions. I don't think too much of the French colts, although they can never be written off in races run at a slow early pace.

Ground no worse than good/good to soft both visually and on times.
it pains me to say that I agree with brigust ... whichever horse wins this will win a group 1 in name only, no better than a group 3 contest with the runners
as a contest though I'm with Charm School who atleast is a group winner
That's always been the case, though, the race was made a Gp1 in 1985 and the standard was no better then, or before.
Well done, Grendel. Tame effort from my pick, may need to be dropped back in trip, although Hanagan choosing to wrestle the horse for most of the race wouldn't have helped.
Yes figg, I'm sure he's much better than that given faster ground and a faster pace ... one maybe to back in running to see if he settles
