If ROTW is over his Dubai run where he patently did not handle the surface, then I think he will take all the beating in this. His debut last season was his first ever run so for his debut this season to be the Dubai World Cup I think he can be excused that effort.
CDA ... not much more to say about this horse, he keeps coming back for more and defying his age. I thought he had ''gone'' last season and should have been retired
. His defeat of Treve, admittedly when she was lacking fitness on testing ground, reads very well and the form of the Ganay has worked out with Smoking Sun finishing 2nd in a Group 1 next time out. Corrine Barbe did say however that they only went for his next race, Prix Ishapan, as the conditions had come right for him, so it's not like he has been tee'd up for Epsom. He might need more recovery time between races imo. He has also never raced here before either so it's a big unknown.
Flinshire was/is highly regarded by Andre Fabre, who is in cracking form at the moment, and his form figures on Good ground are 111. His form on Soft is 3 defeats. Lightly raced.
Talent - Last years impressive Oaks winner and comes here fresh as has been planned by Ralph Beckett. He did the same with Look Here who narrowly got beaten, a short-head. At 7/1 she is the eachway bet for me. Good, or easier, is perfect.

Think it looks a hot renewal myself. The last 3 years have been cake walks for SNA.
AOB has won this race 7 times, ROTW must have this as his first major European target.
I can't have CDA at all. It would be disappointing if he is still good enough to beat last seasons Oaks & Derby winners.

She does. Id guess the owners felt the chance of having a runner in a race like this wouldnt come around too often. Im not suggesting she will win, but if she was a lightly raced horse from a bigger yard who won a handicap in the manner she did last time i dont think she would be the price she is. Best of luck to them.

Surely not, if he's already proved good enough to beat last year's Arc winner (who most proclaimed the next superstar) and a very highly rated Lockinge winner, both of whom are meant to be in their prime?

No way Treve was fit in my opinion Joci. Her first main target is the POW.
This is a tough race to call Sin. On potential I fancy Flintshire but the ground may not be ideal. Talent cannot be ignored because I do like fillies on soft ground. I am disappointed with Ruler of the World's efforts so far but on Champion Stake form and over 12f he must have a blinding chance. CDA will get his ground but I will be disappointed if the classic horses are all beaten by him but they do all look very vulnerable (weak classic winners). If the ground dries out (very doubtful) I would back Flintshire otherwise I would have to go with RotW and hope he shows his Champion Stakes form or better. At the moment I think 3/1 with Joe's is now a backable price and I will set my staking around that.
I dont but this story about the muscle this morning. They have been laying this horse for the last 2 or 3 days. Some people new that this was not going to run.
As good as he still is I've no doubts CDA has lost some speed this season, add to that he's never looked as good over 12f so he's definitely vulnerable here. The problem is I can't see anything worth taking him on with. For me, Talent was a sub par Oaks winner and I really can't see her winning unless she's improved a great deal. I thought Flintshire was overrated last year but it's possible he'll be better as a 4yo. Actually, looking at the opposition CDA becomes tempting but given the doubts the prices look about right so I'll just watch and hope CDA wins.
hope CDA is alright, superb performance again, beating horse like TREVE, form doesnt get any better than that IMO. thought maybe talent would chase it home. seems flintshire was well fancied by some.
I agree with that Figgis. I had it between CDA and Flintshire so went with that. The ground wasn't soft so Talent couldn't be backed and the others just were not good enough. He won well, seemed to stay the trip, but I think Flintshire could go on from here. Where to I don't know though. Considering RotW's form the 3 year olds could easily pick up the Gr1's from Ascot onwards where the restricted races end.
Not a great race,only the presence of CDA made it so,CDA a 10f horse who needs it soft,put these away on better ground than needed, over the wrong trip, and injured some way out reports jockey,not convinced the form worth that much?
Flintshire's Group 1 win was a terrible race not worthy of the grade. No Group winners of any kind have come out of it and that includes the winner. There are too many of these races not worthy of the grade.
Talent was very weak in the ante-post market and day of the race market and ran like she is going backwards, was unfit, or needed the run.
