Although he hasn't won since July 2012 and doesn't help himself with slow starts and finding trouble in running he is the one who catches my eye at the 5 day entry stage.
A regular in most of the big 7fur/1m h'caps throughout the season he could be worth a bet not only on Saturday but in every race this season [ win and place].
Even though he is now 8yrs old and looks exposed i feel there is a big h'cap still in him .
Good luck cc .

You've put up more negatives than positives there CC! Why do you fancy him? Wasn't he a big gamble for the race last year but missed it?

Hi Sint.
He is a talented but frustrating horse to follow and i put the above details in about his running style for anyone who is unaware . Goes well at Donny and the ground should be ok so at around 25/1 e-w  looks a fair bet to me. Will need luck with the draw of course . A couple of others in the race took my eye but Dance and Dance looks the best value to me .
He is one of my handicappers to follow this season so we will see how it all pans out.

yep, he is talented. At the peak of his powers he was rated 110, and for the majority of last season was running off 96 and 95. He is now rated 90 so no doubt can go close of his current mark in one of these races. Good luck.

Will he get in ?
Report custardcream64 March 26, 2014 8:58 AM GMT
Might just squeeze in but if not there is the Spring Mile .
Report Facts March 26, 2014 9:09 AM GMT
Spring mile would be a better opportunity imo

Spring mile it is then.

Yep. 9/1 with Billy could be worth taking.

Load of non runners in Lincoln - would have squeezed in at the bottom if it had been 24 hour decs.

My old friend is back in action at Epsom this Friday. He won the race 2 yrs ago. Very unlucky not to win last time out at Newmarket when going down by a short head . Tried to make all the running there which was a surprising tactic.
Abseil will be all the rage for the race but a lightly raced animal around Epsom for the first time at around 5/2 in a competitive race like this is not for me.

I see my old friend won at Newcastle on Thursday at 9/2. He actually finished 2nd beaten a short head but was awarded the race in the Steward's room.
Next stop is the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket [4th in the race last year].

Didn't back it at Newcastle - despite backing it over a cliff previously.b He's a rogue ! Having said that it would be no surprise if he won the Bunbury !
