Lac Fontana to attempt the double? Is their still a bonus prize?
By:
Bonus was doubled to 100k i think
By:
Vibrato Valtat for me.
By:
ground will be decent, good pot and always the chance of the bonus, yet 19 entries only at 5 day stage, what more do these trainers want?
Will leave it until later in the week but Swing Bowler looks the most interesting at first glance, Regal Encore already 3/1 with sponsors, chance obvious but likely to be ridiculously short by off time. |

backed new years eve 16/1 e/w 1/4 first 4, can't see it out of the frame.

The one to look at here at Gassin Golf. Not from a traditional gambling stable but they can plot one out and Saturday is the day. Ran a great race last time out and looked the winner turning in and just didnt get home of 19f last time. Very lightly raced and rated 92 on the flat, he gets in here on 121 !!!. Has had various engagement over the winter but they have keep the powder dry.
I can't believe the 20/1. Big win+place bet for me. GL |

I backed Gassin Golf last season when he lost at Punchestown and am looking at him again here. But Little Jon interests me along with Harristown.
I'll play closer to the day I'd imagine |

Dry day @Sandownpark and slight improvement in conditions - Hurdle Heavy, Soft places and Chase Soft, Heavy places. Think will dry further. Entry fee is £300. Ground likely to be better than it's been for the last two months, alright, 'decent' might be over-egging it but it will be perfectly adequate NH ground. 19 entries versus a previous low of 35 over last six renewals, run on heavy last year when there were 42 entries and 19 eventual runners. Bonus pot increased to £100k. Very disappointing entry. Let's hope most of them turn up. |

Showers expected on Friday but could get up to 17 degrees on Saturday is what they just said on the news!! Will probably be soft ground maybe a few g2s places. Need that shower on Friday otherwise could be tacky ground.

By:
Still think Get Back In Line is much better than he has 'shown' this season.

Going down the trends route:
11/11 – Had won no more than twice over hurdles before 10/11 – Carried 10-13 or less 10/11 – Had won between 1-2 times over hurdles before 10/11 – Had raced within the last 6 weeks 8/11 – Aged 6 or younger 8/11 – Rated 124 or higher 8/11 – Carried 10-7 or less I have Vibrato Valtat, Baltimore Rock and Harristown clear of the rest. |
By:
In fact VV falls down slightly on carrying more than 10-7 so I'd have the other 2 ahead of that one. Will probably dutch them.
By:
First Avenue interests me at 25/1 won the race last year, bit higher in the weights and was a suprise winner last year, but I have the feeling may outrun his odds again.
Definately worth an each way punt. |

Didnt Paul Nichols say theat VIBRATO VALTAT was going striaght to Cheltenham on the Preview Panel last night ?

no lac fontanna

Oh ok, cheers liqernpoker
By:
Harristown and Little Jon both 20/1
That's my two. Good luck |
By:
I am assuming that my Gassin Golf will be pricewise. 20/1 first 4 looking good so far!
By:
I just put up a topic on Gassin Golf (hadn't seen this post), likewise taken the 20's. I think it will go very close indeed. Let's hope so.
Very well handicapped I think. |
By:
Still very keen on Baltimore Rock and Harristown.
By:
I have gone for 2 outsiders.
Big fan of Regal Encore as i backed him in CB last season, when i click the trainers form it comes up with 3 runners, is this correct ? |
By:
Backed Vibrato Valtat at 8/1...4 places...expecting a return...
By:
so how did you manage that ?
i have been all over this market................. |
By:
It only lasted 20 mins with baldy on Monday
By:
Going against most of the trends Swing Bowler win and place
By:
Swing Bowler for me too. The Class act.
By:
yep, backed Swing Bowler at 10/1 and Harristown at 22/1 this morning.Win only.
The EBF Novices Handicap Hurdle earlier on the card looks a more interesting race, like Goohar in that. Good luck. |
By:
Harristown and Little Jon for me.
By:
I like Harristown too. It appears he's getting an 8lb allowance presumably for being a 4-year-old.
By:
Knight of Noir in the EBF final. Think it's very well handicapped and will go M Pipe on Friday if it wins. 6/1 seems fair

yep, well done Glossy - looked to have a bit in hand at the end too.
By:
wd Glossy, glad he beat Gassin Golf as I'd considered him but not backed him.

I'm not CVByrne, but 20/1 second not too bad. Still a novice so lots of options open but unfortunately for the horse he will go up for not winning.
The two pulled well clear, and I knew GG was well in, so been done by a decent and very, very well handicapped horse |
