Am taking my brother to Doncaster for the St Leger for his birthday treat this year.  Long way off I know, but just looking at enclosures now - family area seems very cheap at £16, compared to £36 for Grandstand.  Anyone any views?  Is the family area way removed from the main action? Worth the extra £20 for the grandstand?

And, take it that it will be a busy day, how cramped does Donny get?

The Family Stand is the old Stand you see between the 2 furlong and 1 furlong marker, these are the 'cheap seats' without doubt with limited access to bars, paddock etc, and you will spend all day whistfully looking at the hordes in Paddock/Grandstand merrily frolicking..

Unfortunately you will have to take the hit with Donny's pants down prices but you will enjoy it much more and still cheaper than the ridiculous Premier enclosure.
