Dunlop said: "I think the ground is a bit softer than ideal for her, but she did it very well.
"I've always held her in high regard and at this stage she's my best two-year-old."
Barry Simpson, racing manager for owner Sir Robert Ogden, added: "It was a very positive run and we couldn't be more thrilled.
"I think the Fillies' Mile would be an option for her."
Qawaasem attempted to chase the winner throughout and held on to second, with Halljoy back in third.
Following the race, Sky Bet introduced the filly at 20/1 for the 1000 Guineas.

She's clearly quite a smart filly, but I'm not convinced that the form is terribly strong for a Group 3 race. The runner-up Qawaasem was previously narrowly beaten in a weak Listed race (the third in that race was beaten 8½ lengths in a Group 3 next time, the fourth was beaten nearly 7 lengths in another Group 3 next time, and the fifth was beaten in a nursery off a mark of 82); the third Halljoy was beaten over 7 lengths in a maiden last time (RPR 73); the fourth Midnite Angel never got into the race and her performance is best ignored (given too much to do, unable to make up deficit in softish ground). I think there are better fillies around (Kiyoshi, Tapestry, Sandiva etc) but she's certainly going the right way and is capable of making her presence felt in better grade races.

I think if you like this one then you have to like Sound Reflection who beat Halljoy even easier last time and that was her first start.
On that day she was 1 of 3 that raced near the stands rail which may have been a disadvantage looking at later races that day.
Now the horse that finished last of the 3 in that group was Makruma who had previously run well in a maiden that has worked out ok with the horse she finished 2l in front of, Dancealot, now being rated 81 having won a nursery.
So Makruna's first run and then the run of Halljoy today suggest that Sound Reflection could be very decent.

Stevie, she did run a very good debut time. It just depends on how much she'll progress on that. I can never tell with Godolphin 2yos, some improve for debut but many don't improve at all on their second start, dunno if it'll be any different with Appleby's name there.

I think like all fillies races especially 2 year old ones it is folly to use collateral form because of the improvement they can find from one run to the next.
amazing maria for me looks a high class 2 year old filly she didn't like the ground yesterday but still won easy and like a lot of dunlop horses i can see her going on again...she does appear to love goodwood however and i for one wouldn't be in a rush to take a price about her for the 1000...it will be interesting to see how she goes when moved back to a more conventional track but she is improving and is a likeable type...her prominent racing style round the 7 at goodwood is definitely an advantage for her

The Fillies' Mile at Newmarket will tell us whether or not she's going to be a Guineas filly. She's likely to face some stiff competition there (Kiyoshi, Tapestry et al).

Gosh. Amazing Maria not among the 15 dec for the Fillies Mile Saturday. Only posting this cos Amazing Maria is bigged up for the race and beyond in today's RP supplement. Won't be reversing out of my bets yet but, not ok.

Amazing Maria could make her Group One debut in the Prix Marcel Boussac after being taken out of the Shadwell Fillies' Mile.
Connections decided to bypass Friday's Newmarket race to give the daughter of Mastercraftsman more time to recover from her victory in the Group Three Prestige Stakes at Goodwood.
They now plan to wait for Longchamp on Sunday week.
"We'll probably go to the Prix Marcel Boussac with her. That was the alternative to the Fillies' Mile," said Barry Simpson, racing manager to owner Sir Robert Ogden.
"She's a big filly, she's growing all the time. We just want to give her time between her races."
