I am with you on this one. Holding back a little for two reasons (1) Draw is critical and (2) not certain to run. Do you know if running for sure ?
By:
No I don't.But because it runs so well at Ripon ( and in this race before)- and is in form at the right time of year - I'm hoping it will participate. Is declared with jockey ( Connor Beasley(5)) - who is 2/2 with horse at Ripon.
I'm not bothered about the draw.Had winners from either side of track in big fields.More where the pace is going to be. Spinatrix usually runs up with the pace - and has won at Ripon by making all. What does concern is the Going. Needs Good/Soft to show his form. |

Thanks. Reckon if he gets a low draw the price will drop significantly so going to follow you in your "wheres the pace going to be" as he does like to be with the pace. Good luck to ya. Cheers.

This race seems to have lost a bit of it's lustre over the years.I seem to remember horses like Vaigly Great running in this but maybe I'm wrong. For me Dick Bos back at 6f will do e.w.

el viento looks interesting but trainer doesn't have good record in race.

Facts - Drawn 1. I do like it when a plan comes together. Good luck.

Prodigality stormed home to win the stands side group by 4 toi 5 lengths last year and whilst 13lb higher, does have the promising Oisin Murphy taking off 7. dissapointed by draw 13 though. 14/1 still worth a go.
Pearl Ice, an easy winner over c/d on g/s last year and a good 2nd to Spinatrix last time out, looks to have a reasonable chance of reversing form with Spinatrix at the weights but should be close between them again and is also nicely drawn. 10/1 looks fair |

The likely ground could will depend on how much they get tonight, they had 7mm last night and forecast another 7 tonight. If they don't get any tonight then could go fast side of good as tomorrow f/c to be sunny.

I have bet pearl ice at 11 koral useful app taking 3lb off I also liked prodigality with 7lb claim on board but drawn in no mans land for me
By:
what about the early pace, dick bos from 11, Dr Red Eye 15 and possibly captain ramius 8?
By:
fair enough but he will have to decide which way to go I also bet him in the stewards and was a little disappointed
By:
yes if one side is clearly favoured in the silver cup that will make his decision easier but if no side favoured then as you say he's in no man's land.

I wonder if the three year old Polski Max might run well
... The other two I like are Louis the Pious and the OP's horse Spinatrix |
By:
What have Betfair got against this event . They never put up an AP market (they did one year after pressure from this forum but did it so near the decs nobody was interested anymore) This year no AP market and still no day of race market 16 hours after decs made . Clueless .

wasn't much rain last night but forecast for saturday has changed to heavy rain from midday.
By:
Dick boss ran a bit flat LTO at York but is usually a willing type and has good form on soft ground , if the Heavens do open before race time , his Jockey may cut across from his draw to give a lead to Loius the Pious a lead who has every chance if in a cooperative mood as does Prodigality , but will go for a Dick Boss revival in a very tough race
By:
I'll take all the rain it can muster for Polski Max ... might be a bit late for that now though ... GL to everyone who plays on the race.

they broke the course record too today, though looking at the wind on the met office site looks like there was a 14 mph wind behind them and ground probably on fast side of good too.
