You may do - since PP have revolutioned the betting industry, all sorts of concessions are being given out now. Tweet them and ask them

|

PP are refunding stakes but thats an offer
Lads and Hills very rarely if ever do anythin like it tbh |
|
By:
Yep tweet them....shame them into doing it...

Why should they be ashamed if they don't refund - surely a horse getting injured is part and parcel of antepost betting.
People know the rules when they place an antepost bet so I don't see any reason, other than despertaion for PR, for bookies to refund. |
|
By:
highly unlikely Lads would refund.

agree with uncle - theoretically the associated risks are factored into antepost price though recently bookmakers seem to compete more aggressively for custom on the day of the big races by offering more attractive prices.

SJ refunded all bets made on the tuesday as a gesture of good will. PP is probably the best firm at doing this regularly in AP markets. None of the others ever bother. I don't get the impression it's a big part of their business.

Fallen Angel, do you have a link to that info from Stan James? I've just checked my account and my bet is still open.

Dear ,
This email is in regards to the bet you have placed on "St Nicholas Abbey" on the 23rd of June for the "King George Vi and Queen Elisabeth Stakes". StanJames.com have made the decision to void all bets placed yesterday (only) on the above mentioned selection. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of further assistance. Kind regards, Richard. |

@the Doc, if you made the bet on the monday for instance you might be able to push them hard. If you are a big enough player they may be accommodating and you can point out that PP refunded all bets.

Thanks, I placed a £200 bet on Monday so not sure how keen they will be, I've emailed though to try my luck! Didn't really expect anything back so a bonus if they refund.
