There is something off putting, for me anyway, about how long Ralph Beckett has taken to decide as to whether SG goes for this race or not. He has previously described her as light framed and stated the Nassau as his preference so I think the Epsom race must have taken something out of her, perhaps more than her stablemate Talent.
AAO looks a genuine Group 1 horse in the making imo but her participation depends on the Ground. Riposte & Venus De Milo have both been supplement and merit top respect, obviously!! |

Talent was pretty impressive at Epsom. They have a good record of following up.

with the weather as it is,can really see this race cutting up,but who turns up/who dont is the problem. At this moment in time i would throw a few shillings e/w at Venus De Milo, shirley even ballydoyle couldn't pull her out after supplementing her(could they?lol)

The weather is set fair, and a continuation of this gorgeous spell is the upto the minute forecast. So unless Jaypee or Fozzy get a few water tankers onto the Curragh Alive Alive Oh will be absent surely. Did Matt Chapman have J Crowley on ATR and the suggestion is that he will ride Talent. Has Jim Bolger anything in it ?

Venus De Mile to do a Ruler of the World .. unraced at 2yo!
Johnny Murtagh rides Chiquita. |

I would be against riposte they went way too fast in the ribbledale and she got the run of the race after missing the break and in all fairness it was a poor renewal the french filly hung badly left last time out and would be against her too
By:
I reckon the French form is in front of the English and Chqiuta should relish the step up in trip. 10s is decent.
By:
Also known as Chicquita!
By:
what did you think of her hanging lto looked a monkey to me
By:
clearly a screw loose somewhere given she fell the time before when seemingly well placed, but her A game shd beat these and 10s more than factors in her unreliability.
By:
When I look at the piss poor state of some of these markets on here and what's available I think there's not much point in revealing your hand early.
By:
Frech filly looks very tempting.

secret gesture not running source atr

Booking of Murtagh is a positive

Really hope they take a chance and run AAO tomorrow.

The French filly is still a maiden, and quirky.

Riposte for me. A strict comparison with the Tercentenary Stakes would have you believe that the Ribblesdale was slowly run in a poor time. I disagree, I have the Ribblesdale as above average and she tops my ratings, 1lb ahead of Talent. A 1lb advantage obviously is pretty negligible, it can be cancelled out by a wide trip, getting checked in running, etc, but the main factor is which horse is more likely to run to its form tomorrow, or even improve on it. In my view that is Riposte. While I'm not quite as enthusiastic as when she opened briefly at 5/1 I still think she's a good bet.
By:
i think we are going to see a top class performance by the Stack filly. I think she will track riposte from her outside stall and quicken away. Got the X factor this filly. Lump on.
By:
she's about 1/3 to be a nr
By:
we'll see
By:
Apparently she was in season at the curragh last day but at Ascot it was the ground was too fast.
I'd love to see her run but with the ground currently good to firm at the Curragh and forecast for 28 degs.tomorrow Why do you thin she will run?? |
By:
I think the course will water sufficiently to get her to run. As long as it's safe ground they will run they have said. I hope they are brave because I think shes a really exciting filly. We will have to see what the weather brings though I must concede.
By:
It doesn't help that the race isn't on till 6.15 or that Venus de Milo won on firm ground lto(if you catch my drift)
I had planned on been against Talent but not at 3/1.I think it's wide open,GL |
By:
dj876, yes I do catch your drift

AAO not entered for Arc , that could be a mistake as ground often on the soft side for that Race. Her form is rght up to the mark and on decent ground would imo be forced into much shorter odds , reminds me of Salsabil in her attitude and exuberance , my fear is that even if she runs they will ,'look after her on the ground ' can't back her ,can't back against her . if non runner would just prefer Riposte who has tactical speed , Talent needs winding up from a fair way out mo
By:
massive boost for riposte there with waila hacking up
By:
If Talent does not perform then The Duke of Marmalade filly Venus de milo may be the main threat to Riposte as she can quicken and make up ground very quickly , shame about missing AAO though
By:
Chicquita for me, good luck.
By:
Can't call this so I'll sit on the fence
By:
No excuse for Riposte, was well placed in a race run like that. Can't believe that was her true running, but it's getting them right on the day that counts. No surprise to see the French runner excel off that kind of pace, not a race I'd put to much faith in the form, though.
