Jim Bolger on his Derrinstown Duo

I don't completely buy the argument that TL failed just because of the ground. The rain was getting into the ground when he won at Newmarket, ok it was a bit softer at Doncaster but not by a huge difference. I think the Newmarket race bottomed him, it was run in a fast time, when the slowing ground is taken into consideration, and he was really pushed by Montiridge and ended up having what looked quite a hard race. Hopefully it just took the edge off him temporarily and didn't do any lasting damage.

Derrinstown looks a good race this year. Still time for challenges to DA.
