jumps well, stays well, handles any ground, prominent racer can avoid most of the trouble.
Can forgive poor run at Haydock (MonMome also well beaten there) last time after smart effort in Welsh National
Nicely weighted on 11-03
Last jockey to ride to success? JT McNamara..... could be bit of a sentimental winner
17-18 on here, can see going off plenty shorter around 10-12 on the day with doubts against everything at the head of the market

i am with you with teaforthree pedro, only been off in the one race this year(the welsh national),when argubly unlucky.
won the 4 miler at cheltenham the previous season on good,so trip and ground should be ok if drying out.
excuse for poor haydock run was overnight stay at track.(take that with a pinch of salt)

only downside is the 7lb rise for the chepstow defeat.

Well up my shortlist 10 chases plus 3 point to points is enough experience and is a big horse who should relish the flat galloping track.  Jumps well and stays.  If IC pulled out he would become my main bet.

My idea of the winner or at least a good EW punt at 16s, only Ladbrokes left on 16s now, will be nearer 10s on the day IMO. He ticks all the right boxes for me.

badly handicapped second season chaser way under priced imo, massive lay for me - 151 is way too high when you look at others

got beat in handicaps off lower marks, just look at how is handicapped with Imperial Commander, can;t have T43 finish in front of him... and I can't have IC winning the race either

At lest he's an intended runner.Mischief

Really experienced "second season" chasers actually have quite a good record.  Lord Gyllene and Bindaree spring to mind.  Teaforthree has 10 chases and 4 point to points and a 2nd in a key race, the Welsh National.  He may indeed not be well handicapped, nothing is compared to Imperial Commander, not even Joncol.

The way he jumps and stays though I can't see him being beaten far, naturally if Imperial Commander gets a clear run and is within 20lbs of his huge Gold Cup win he wins but the extra element of chance in this race has me looking for cover options and this chap fits the bill better than most.

ran a cracker, thought it was the winner 2 out.
Report BarryM April 6, 2013 7:16 PM BST
Ran an absolute blinder. I thought he was just about the worst handicapped horse in the field, but he was always going to step up on previous form here. Not sure what I would think if I was the owner. On the one hand, credit to the trainer for producing such a good run .. but without that 7lb hike you;'d have to think he would have won.

Different trainer maybe might of plotted t43s path better.
The target has to be one race,in saying that he ran a great race and jumped beautifully
Report IrisDeBalme April 6, 2013 10:31 PM BST
I know McCoy is contracted to JP, but Im sure if he was given a free choice he would have chosen T43 over Colbert Station...
Report BarryM April 7, 2013 12:54 AM BST
I don't think so, he's said a few times it was poorly handicapped.
Report BarryM April 7, 2013 12:57 AM BST
It did fade in the last 200 yards or so. So fairly obviously now the plan shout be to announce that it clearly didn't stay, and will be campaigned over 2 miles next year.
Report jasey April 7, 2013 4:07 AM BST
If they can get its mark down next year,he could still be a player.Unfortunatly i think the Welsh national will be the target again.
Report Tucho April 7, 2013 5:56 AM BST
trying to win every race and always running her horses on merit, good on you rebecca, but it'll never catch on!
Report festivalfanatic April 7, 2013 9:17 AM BST
Excellent jumper, so run him over hurdles. With the experience of Aintree now gathered, he is clearly capable of winning the race off this mark.
