can't find any rules, but commission free doesn't apply to ante-post bets settled on tuesday according to the promotions homepage

"How does the commission-free offer work?

Any Exchange bets you place on races at the Cheltenham Festival taking place on Tuesday 12 March will be commission-free. This excludes any ante-post bets.

This will work in the following way:

If you bet on the Champion Hurdle (3:20), you will not be charged any commission at all.

If you bet on any one or more of the other races at Cheltenham on 12 March, you will pay commission on your net winnings as usual, but the commission will be refunded to you.

If you bet on the Champion Hurdle (3:20), you will not earn any Betfair Points from your betting on that race.

If you bet on any of the other six races at Cheltenham on 12 March, you will earn Betfair Points on those bets, despite the fact that any commission you pay will be refunded to you. For the purposes of calculating your eligibility for the Premium Charge, if you are charged commission on your qualifying bets at Cheltenham on 12 March, Betfair will factor that commission into such calculations, notwithstanding the fact that the commission will be refunded to you."

It's a bit ****-eyed when you remember that AP markets are offset against day-of-the-race markets for
commission purposes. Anyway, I suppose there's no point whingeing - you can't lose something you never had.

Commission refunded in now (day of race)

I, too, was caught with the opinion that an anti post bet on any race taking place on Tuesday 12th March would be commission free as a result of the hassle when the Betfair system crashed on Sat. 10th March. I earlier rang to find out when the commission on 2 winning Cheltenham bets would be refunded and was told that it would probably happen before close of business,12th March. I did not see this refund coming through and have phoned Betfair Customer Services AGAIN and lo and behold, no refunds on winning anti post bets. Am I the only member on Betfair who is very disappointed . Commission over both markets was net. I was certain I read on some page that anti post bets were included as a gesture of goodwill. Maybe Betfair might reconsider if more people like me complained. I must say that I always find the staff at the helpdesk very fair but just on this occasion I feel disappointed.

toberaheena - I've got to be honest, I think they probably intended to do a commission bonus anyway. They just
dressed it up as an apology for the weekend's foul-up. Why else was it paired off with a football markets bonus?

I'll second what you say about the support staff - they are always excellent.
