Willie's article today regarding Thousand Stars declares that he is to run in the Boyne Hurdle over 3 miles and that they have left him in the World Hurdle Cheltenham.
The Boyne Hurdle is 2m 5f and Thousand Stars was scratched from the World Hurdle at the last forfeit stage.
Is he trying to take on more than he can handle?

Mullins caught out by his own bullshoite. Laughable.

I would just note that I have the greatest respect for WPM, who is a charming man of very considerable ability, but I suspect that such trainers operating on the scale that he does must be at risk of losing touch with some of the finer detail!

Sorry aft, cannot have that. No excuse

I do not  think he  really needs an 'excuse'.
I would have thought it is up to RP as publishers to check their copy and provide a footnote if necessary to protect their readers.

Although irrelevant, it is curious to observe that TS is a shorter price on Betfair to win the World Hurdle (from which he has already been scratched) than to win the Champion Hurdle (for which he is still currently entered)!!

You are right about the RP

RP are still repeating the heresy.....Tony O'Heir writes in tomorrow's paper that TS 'holds an entry in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle'!
Perhaps someone should tell him that the horse was scratched from the race a week ago!
(One wonders why they have left him in the Champion Hurdle as they have no intention of taking him to Cheltenham at all.)

Gave up listening to the bold Willie prior to big meetings years ago.  He talks in riddles and while I still back his horses he's a nightmare AP.  Wait and see what turns up in what race come the day is always the order of the day with any Mullins horses.

Agreed Mister W.
Impossible to back a Mullins or Pipe horse ante post unless there is only one feasible target.

We have to remember that Mullins and all other trainers for that matter, are running their horses for the benefit of the owners who pay the bills. Imagine if you owned a horse and was waiting for plans for him and Willie laid out the intended plan to Channel 4 morning line or indeed any newspaper before you knew. I know if it was my horse , the horsebox would arrive in his yard that evening.
