What are the qualifications for entry, anyone know?
Report SEATHESTARS....NO1 January 21, 2013 9:05 PM GMT
As far as i am aware the Supreme is for novices whom are 4 years and older. Unlike the Triumph hdl which is only restricted to one age group (4 yrs) Do not know of any others.

He did not win as a juvenile hurdler so this qualifies him to run in novice hurdles.

clearly qualified to run ..lazy journalism ...on whats grounds did he say it wasn't?
Report Angel Gabrial January 21, 2013 11:01 PM GMT
He probably thinks it is only for for first season novice hurdlers.
Report grinch January 21, 2013 11:08 PM GMT
but Nicholls has said all season that this would be the target.  So allowing for the fact that this is a rare occurance .. he hasn't read any of the quotes ? or assumed PN is wrong?

He is definitely qualified. Amazed that he would make that mistake. Amazed that anyone would lay on that basis. Even Mikail D'Haguenet is still a novice chaser.

Mistakes by racing journalists happen regularly,
I remember HOILES commenting that a TWISTON-DAVIES trained winner
would get in the GRAND NATIONAL now that he had won the said commented race, therefore he would go up in the weights because of a penalty, little did he know nor did he apologise.
Sometimes they call hurdles, fences, calling horses "he" when commenting on fillies and
mares races, the first horse on the list of the race is in many cases named as the top weight
even when the race is not a handicap!!!
