Hope they rearrange the VC for trials day at Cheltenham next Saturday. Appearance of the monster there will put 5000 on the attendance.

Good news tt.

Let's hope it's on. Going to have to warm up some next week if they are going to race.

If that's off possibly last chance to save the race will be Sandown? Or would they cancel it to be fair to the Game Spirit?

Cheltenham have no chance of racing next week unless thee's a dramatic change in weather. There is snow on the course with more forecast, and it's not forecast to get above freezing at any point before Saturday, with several nights down to -7. Not sure what they will do - the Game Spirit doesn't really compete with the VC. I suspect we will lose it.

If we do, that could mean the best horse in training, despite having no problems at any stage of the season (touch wood for the rest of it obv.) will end up running just twice all year.

The rearranged Victor Chandler Chase, due to take place at Cheltenham on Saturday, has been reopened due to an insufficient number of entries.

Saved from Ascot's abandoned card last weekend, Nicky Henderson's Sprinter Sacre, the Paul Nicholls-trained Sanctuaire and last year's winner Somersby are all due to be running.

However, only seven entries were made by midday on Monday so the race has been reopened until 11am on Tuesday.

Cheltenham clerk of the course says that the meeting is "in the balance" with snow currently covering the track.
