My favourite Derby winner of the last 25 years, a flashier looker you couldn't hope to see and ridden by a lad who had been brought up a few streets from me.

That Derby looked a high class renewal before the off and he mullered them, although the likes of marju and hector protector were probably non-stayers. Nonetheless, he went on to prove his greatness with victories in the Irish Derby and King George. Things didn't go his way in Paris, which was as gutted as I've ever been by a result, but what a horse and I fully agree with him retaining his lofty rating in the recent amendments.
Was surprised not see a fred tbh.

Generous is one of a classic legend. He surprised me with his ability as a 3 year old. I never really saw it coming but they way he stayed on against Mystiko in the 2000G had Derby written all over it. 9/1 on Derby day was generous.

So long Generous.

Its always sad when we hear of the death of a very high class horse, like Generous Sad
Very gd winner of both the Epsom & Ire Derbys & 1 of the most impressive King G winners there have been in my time. Shame he had gone over the top by Arc time.
RIP Generous. Sad
