What news of this horse? Said to return to hurdling straight after his defeat in the Jewson but not seen since. He's entered in the Festival Hurdle in Ireland over Christmas, currently 12/1 for the World Hurdle.

I thought they were going down the stayers route, so why have they entered him in a 2miler? I would rather see him having another go at 2 miles myself, but surely with the Big Bucks news, connections will aim for the World Hurdle.

That's the early closing entry for the Festival Hurdle so will be interesting to see if he's still in at the 5 dayers.

The Big Buck's news will probably lead to a soundbite from the trainer shortly, seems like everyone else is.

definite chances Roo. I thought they may even consider the Champion Hurdle again. Oscar whisky might run on NYD also so that will be fascinating.

In todays RP- According to Mccain the plan is to run at Chelt over the New year as Sint says. He did say the plan was to run in the
2 1/2m ascot hurdle that Oscar Whisky won. The horse is also entered in the Istabraq hurdle at leopardstown.
Al Ferof made a come from being mawled by Sprinter Sacre be interesting to see if Peddlers Cross can do the same.

Cann't see Oscar whisky running against him, he looked exhausted after his last run.

Cutting edge insight.....

If Peddlers still has his hurdling form in him hen he is one of the leading fancies for the World Hurdle. The only horse to beat him over hurdles at 2m was the great Hurricane Fly. Considering he was always going to get better over a staying trip then the World Hurdle was the natural route and although he wasn't good over fences, neither was Big Bucks... Peddlers Cross IS a very good shout for the world hurdle. Let's hope he performs to his best at Chelt on 1st Jan!

Will run in the Coral hurdle bossing the handicap for a McCain plot job. I was at Bangor last year when McCain spoke about Peddlers chances at Cheltenham and he was so upset, practically said they had lost him and I found it strange that they ran him at all, he subsequently ran like he intermated.
Gone at the game.

Lunacy is a very under rated state of mind Love

Not only have I got him in one of my TTF lists, I have also backed him at 20s for WH Crazy

Well at least it looks like he'll line up for WH which for a long range AP bet I half the battle. Won't go spending any winnings mind you

Aye well at least he is there. Better ground, Longer trip, wouldn't be the biggest shock ever but wouldn't be backing him either.

better ground? I thought it was Good today?

He jumped great but he looks half the horse he used to be. I think that battle with Hurricane Fly has left it's mark.

At the end of this month there is a Grade 2 National Spirit at Fontwell over 20f. I would not be surprised if he ran in that, but we'll wait and see.

LOL, gone at the game, and no fight left in him? Cruised through race looking as good as ever, and went on too soon, idled and had to dig deep to win. I wonder what some people watch at times....

He's a fantastic jumper of hurdles, just didn't seem to have the same 'zip' as he once had
By:

BigAdz he had 30lb in hand of those horses which finished close to him. I wonder what some people watch sometimes aswell.

to the above poster we were watching a race I could have won with John Mcruick on my back.

BigAdz, the qualities you have described there may have been impressive if he was racing against some graded hurdlers, but it was against a bunch of no hopers. I'd be surprised to see him feature in the stayers this year.
