No doubt some in the stable availed of some of the nice prices on here as they dont keep giving out misleading information for the fun of it!

Henderson’s other Hennessy entry, the Irish recruit and recent Ascot winner Roberto Goldback, will not be running. "The handicapper decided to put him up 13lb for Ascot, when all that happened was that it was his first run on decent ground," he said. "I’m inclined to run him in the two-and-a-half-mile race at Newbury on the Friday (Sportingbet Open Handicap Chase). Today TRAINER Nicky Henderson is set to be double-handed in the Hennessy Gold Cup after deciding to let Roberto Goldback take his chance at Newbury on Saturday. Henderson already has ante-post favourite Bobs Worth in the handicap feature but will also run his recent Ascot winner. The Seven Barrows handler had initially indicated the 10-year-old would run at Newbury on Friday but those plans have now changed. "We've had a slight change of heart and we have decided Roberto Goldback will run in the Hennessy after all," he said. Laughable ![]() |

Yes, ridiculous.

more likely the owner said 'feck off Nicky you tw@t it's running on Saturday' and had no intention of it running on Friday

I think that's a little unfair on Nicky, and I've just had a pop at him elsewhere so I'm no apologist. The problem, is that journalists, and sometimes forumites, want to break news .. and sometimes there isn't any to break. "I'm inclined to ...." is hardly a firm commitment, and all he's really saying is don't wade in antepost as we aren't fully committed yet.

Until this little rodent and his entourage are served up a dish of gruel they will continue to mislead.
