Voler La Vedette is likely to start her winter campaign next month at either Navan or Punchestown.

Trainer Colm Murphy is looking at either the Lismullen Hurdle at Navan on November 11 or the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown a week later as the first port of call for his talented mare, who was runner-up to Big Buck's in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham.

"I'm not sure where we will start her. We have the option of the Lismullen in Navan or the Morgiana in Punchestown," Murphy told At The Races.

"I'll speak to the owners and we see where we go, but it will be one or the other. She seems good and I can't wait to get her started."

Voler La Vedette's big rival in the mares' ranks is Quevega, who beat her in the World Series Hurdle in Punchestown in April.

Murphy has not ruled out taking on Willie Mullins' star at some point during the season.

"I'd like to stay away from Quevega, but if their paths cross I'm not too worried either," said the County Wexford handler.

"I imagine like last year she'll get an entry in everything and we'll let the year dictate where we will go."
