I did initially, his form is excellent, prob prefers a decent surface and fair to presume his best days have yet to come. Tough for 3yo this race altho trainer has managed it recently with a similar type. 12s and softish ground has made me hang fire at ze mo.

I also believe he needs quickish ground to show his best.

He clearly is a very progressive horse with a decent chance. As much as he won over 2M on very quick ground at Ascot, at Yarmouth for his prep run it didn't look like another 4F was what the horse wanted. It could be argued that it was a prep run and will come on, but at that stage it still looked like he would need a penalty so I think he'd of been pretty straight.

Bizarrely I like one well beaten in the Yarmouth race as I am sure he will benefit from dig in the ground ( if there is going to be any ) and the step up in distance. Still cannot work out whether to back the beast or not.

Anyway good luck with Montaser if you play / have played. I'm not sure there is too much rain forecast at HQ so ground may come right

I like this one too and its good to see less rain should hit HQ than predicted a few days ago (Thurs night showers into Fri morning).  Disappointed the price hasnt shortened over the last couple of weeks.  Ive changed tack too and decided to have a saver on Repeater in the same race even though down the field in Montasers last race.....

disagree slightly Roo re horse not wanting extra 4 f.... i believe the ascot race over 2m where he was going away at finish showed he needs further than 2m and not the 1m6f at yarmouth last time out...also i do agree with you that he needed to win that to guarantee place in Ces field but on looking at race again he was going best 2f out and sprint finish didnt suit him as he just gallops on...think Ces trip is perfect...decent ground only worry  !!good luck with your selections

like this horse and backed it at 15s this morning, only needs 1 to come out now, f norton will ride, trainer says got too aggresive ride at yarmouth last time, thinks he will stay just doesn't what too much rain.

Should get in. Am sure one will drop out and if they dont  Dr Koukash has two above him at (3) Address Unknown and (13) Very Good Day. So if he thinks Montaser has best chance of the three I am sure one of them will be taken out. Here's hoping !!!

Wow, Montaser still only a reserve....thought his owner would/will pull one of his other two out to get him in if he has as good a chance as it seems in this race...

Personally, if one doesn't drop out,i think he will pull one of his out and if he does that he will be out of order imoAngry  I've backed Tominator so not connected to Montaser in anyway.

If they have a lot of rain, I'm sure there will be at least one to drop out. Don't think any of the Koukash horses want it as far as I can see.

the doctor says he will pull one of his out if nothing else comes out.

Graham Cunningham ‏@gcunning12
Address Unknown a NR in the Ces, thus allowing his fancied fellow Koukash runner Montaser in as reserve. A case of "Return To Sender?"

Very sporting of Marwan Plain wac.

Not really what the reserve policy was designed for I guess.

However Dr Koukash ploughs plenty of money into the game, supports our 2nd tier trainers, buys plenty of horses at HIT sale to keep them in training and is one of the most enthusiastic and open owners about and the Flat would be poorer without him.

Therefore tt I would suggest your comments are a little harsh and I for one cannot blame him for getting his most fancied runner in the race. And further if he wins a Heritage handicap he donates a % of the prizemoney to charity

Was that aimed at me roo.......coz for clarity I am 100% with the Doc and not being critical in any way. I also am certain that is why his others horses were put in their in the first place. Its his right.......and for the record I am with Montaser and have been for a while now so genuinely delighted with this course of action. He who pays the piper calls the tune !

Roo,I  appreciate it's up to an owner what he does re his horses, but it still leaves a sour taste tbh, just don't think it's right, that's allCool

HB are your intials tt?

However I would suggest on quick ground the Ces would be an ideal race for Address Unknown so he got his entry out of right to be in the race
By:
roobuck
When: 12 Oct 12 11:43
And actually its not good for those who may have backed Address Unknown AP - no money back for them though if Montaser had missed out you guys would have got yours.

tt that's fair enough, wac imo wasn't necessary. In principle I actually agree with you but that's for the BHA to sort out, not the owners
By:
HaylingBilly
When: 12 Oct 12 11:49
Peace...apologies, didnt spot the exchange between you and tt ..............and for the record I agree in principle it is not right they can do this but the rules are loud and clear and anyone placing an AP bet should be aware of owners with multiple horses in a race. Especially a big money handicap.
