In past years there has been as many as 28 runners but recently no more than 17-18, can anyone shed any light on this?

18 this year again,its to do with saving ground for champions day on the 20th i believe.There is a thread about this down below btw

captain bertie 20/1 anybody? don't see why he's so big compared to the fav captain raimus
they were 2nd and 3rd in the bunbury cup when bertie was getting 7lbs, and he'll be getting 11lb on saturday more rain should be ideal too |
