When going through the form i was just about to put a line through this one as if you look at its form it deserves a line through it, furthermore one of the sayings in racing is always back a sprinter in form which this horse is totally not, however i did dig a little deeper and came up with something, its tentative so be warned but here goes.

If trainers target races then this would be the type of target a horse like this would be aimed at a big handicap sprint, in order to win the race or have a good go at it you need a good mark and conditions in your favour and thats why i got onto this.

This season its run poorly on each occasion but its not hard to come up with excuses for most if not all its races so far, especially the last two in which its been thrashed as both of those came over 7f and on heavy ground, whilst its first run was over 5f and then another was at royal ascot on only its second run and could still have been working towards fitness.

What has happened though is that the horse started the season on a mark of 101 and now comes into this rate after only four runs this season on a mark of 92 due to its poor runs on the wrong ground and the wrong trip.

The horse last won a race over 6f in a class two handicap off a mark of 92 on good ground, exactly what its going to have on Saturday, so in short has the trainer targeted the race and got the horse down to a nice mark after running it in races it couldnt win, just a theory of course, well at 25-1 plus with the bookies its worth an EW shot.

I could be totally wrong, there is more wrong than right if you look closely but when i noticed this it nagged me so its worth a little ew punt i think in a very competitive race.

Best wishes,

MANUEL

good work manuel i backed this horse a few times in the distant past  !  these sprints are difficult at the best of times and this one is no different ,as ever luck in running is required and if i am going to play i would want a big price and this  one could fit the bill  each way . i will have a look seem to remember m.bell training this at one point !probably got a big race in him ,good luck with it .

Also had a look at the big sprint at Ascot and whilst i would love medicean man to win this i do believe its going to be very difficult off that weight, much better off against better horses at level weights in my opinion, however its well worth taking a secong look at BURNINGTHREAD, well weighted, big price and might sneak under the radar

Personally have looked elsewhere for the York race but good luck with Gramercy.

I actually think 14s is good value for MM. According to current stick readings drawn in the right place and Es Que Love will give him a really good tow into the race. Interestingly Burning Thread is drawn between the pai and may be woth a small e/w saver, especially at the price.

Its nice to know you can still spot these little things and get one a t a big price, hope some of you made money of it, again it went down for me as i did it in an ew double with burningthread at ascot, not to worry, there will be more, its just pleasing to be able to dig these types out
