Dawn Approach has been bought by Godolphin, it is yet to be decided who will train him as a 3yo. He better hope Jim still trains him as a 3yo, or the horse will have no chance in the Guineas if past performaces are anything to go by.

Godolphin have bought, for an undisclosed sum, a controlling interest in Dawn Approach, the 10-1 favourite for next year’s 2,000 Guineas, but the colt will remain in Ireland with trainer Jim Bolger – at least until the end of his juvenile season.

The colt, unbeaten in four races, jumped to the head of the Classic ante-post market when securing a game victory in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.
His sire, New Approach, was also trained by Bolger and won the Derby in the colours of Princess Haya of Jordan, the wife of Godolphin mastermind Sheikh Mohammed. He is enjoying a fantastic first season as a Darley stallion and had two other juvenile winners at Royal Ascot.
Godolphin’s racing manager Simon Crisford said: “We are delighted Dawn Approach will race for Godolphin and look forward to seeing him race at the highest level. It is fantastic how well New Approach has started his stallion career and Dawn Approach appears to have inherited many of his qualities.”
In anybody’s language, the John Gosden-William Buick team are riding high after their five Royal Ascot winners and this weekend, they plan to extend their purple patch to Ireland, where Izzi Top will face a strong line-up from Ballydoyle, headed by Investec Oaks winner Was, in Sunday’s Barclays Bank Pretty Polly Stakes.
Gosden said yesterday that Izzi Top, twice a winner this year, had been progressing well. “I was pleased with the way she worked this morning [Wednesday] and she runs at The Curragh provided the ground is good. This filly is going the right way.”
Izzi Top has won all three of her starts since finishing third in last year’s Oaks. She landed a Group Three at Saint-Cloud last term and this year was successful in Newmarket’s Dahlia Stakes before taking the Middleton Stakes at York.
Bred by the Meon Valley Stud, Izzi Top has become a very valuable broodmare prospect, having been carefully and astutely placed.
The ground at The Curragh was drying out early yesterday, but rain is forecast today. Much will depend on the amount of rainfall, as well as the way the course takes racing on Saturday night, which features the Irish Derby, run at 7.40pm as an experiment.
John Oxx reported on Wednesday that he hopes to run St James’s Palace fourth Born To Sea in the race and that Johnny Murtagh will ride. Oxx also plans to saddle Akeed Mofeed but Call To Battle has suffered a setback and will miss the race

considering the dirt pedigree on the distaff side its quite possible they might chance him in the BC Juvenile....indeed there's a very distance relation that won this race...Favourite Trick.
It was inevitable the way Jim was mouthing off before Ascot.
Yes , maybe that is why Lads went the biggest price for the Guineas at 16-1.
In terms of ability and potential he could win a Guineas but there is a big doubt now that he may be changing yards at the end of this season.
looks like Jim's got him for now...mapped out his 2yr program already. Couple of the Irish races and then the dewhurst.
