Another 'classic' early season 2yo highlight to get our teeth into.
Richard Hannon has farmed this to some extent recently (although also provided the beaten favourite last year). As such, it's probably not the biggest surprise to see Sir Prancealot priced-up as the jolly. However, whether he deserves to be favourite on what he's achieved so far is unlikely.
The two Johnston runners have shown a higher level of form. Baileys Jubilee scratched from today's Hilary Needler and runs here instead; her first two runs were good but there's still that poor York showing to forgive, she's not for me.
I very much like the look of the stable's other runner Storm Moon. He easily won a decent maiden on his debut (time pretty good) and followed-up winning an egg and spoon race on the Fibresand (backed as though defeat was out of the question). He has the plum draw and Sir Prancelot will need to be pretty special to peg him back. At the prices, Storm Moon has to be the bet for me.
