Just to clear up a few matters regarding the Grand National.
Firstly i grossly dislike people posting comments that try and discredit claiming you were wrong when in fact you were right.
I dont think i ever said a grey couldnt win the national,i may have made a post saying they had a poor record.
I dont think i said a horse that hadnt run for more than 49 days couldnt win, again they just had a poor recent record, the longest any horse had ever been off the track and won the national was i believe 80 something days.
I do believe i had said stats dont win races horses do,well this has yet again come up with a quite stunning  pedigree statistics.

As you can see from part of Neptune Collonges damline,Wild Risk & Vimy turned up for i believe what was the 10th time in the last 11 wiiners of the National.
And the Blandford/Blenheim/Donatello/Crepello/Busted and Blandford/Umidwar lines also turned up on the damline.
So where as trainers of horses are useing different training techniques to try and confuse old Joe punter, the breeding doesnt lie.
Post mortem, having 5 runs over 3 miles doesnt matter one iota,a horses colour doesnt matter, the length of time its been off again doesnt really matter, the weight wouldnt matter now because the better horses are getting in light, off the top of my head i think Neptune was once rated 174 but was off 157 here, the winner having a minimum 9 chase starts stands for now but i have a feeling that this may not matter to much either,a woman jockey winning will also happen before long, thats an absolute certainty
But there is something in the pedigree statitistics because the first 4 home all had Wild Risk/Vimy in their first 7 generations.
More about pedigrees and what they mean and how to read them will be posted at a later date but not on here,it may be on a private website in order to stop the hate mongers and abuse merchants that we unfortunately get on here(---el--t--r)and other public sites, and people that steal information off others and claim it as their own.
And there wont be any extortionate charges like some certain sites that already exist and others that may be offered via this forum.Wink

I think you should keep posting here as I found the thread really informative. I noticed In compliance out ran his odds and from memory think all the placed horses had some part of the breeding in them. Seabass failed on the 3mile stat and you said cappa bleu wouldn't be classy enough which was proved right. Just got foiled by another French bred!

Cappa ran much better race than 24/7 suggested. He would have gone closer if he was not hampered at the Foinavon fence first time round.
To say that he failed on lack of class is poppycock Happy

By the way 24/7 your thread was very refreshing and informative and much appreciated by the more balanced minds on here. All the best.
