The Asian runners fill most of the places at the head of the market , not sure as to what the true merits of their form is and though I respect them I'm not sure how they'll handle Meydan's surface having appeared to the large part having run on very fast surfaces in asia. The other possible negative is that their jockey's, I think, have limited experience of Meydans difficult turf track. The most impressive horse I've seen at Meydan on the turf this year is Mutahadee and but for a poor ride last time would be unbeaten . If they go slow again and the jockey has him fairly prominent I'd be pretty confident of him running a very strong race, if they go quick early he also probably has what it takes to win. Estimated true odds of Muthadee 7/2 , his present top price is 7/1 and a decent enough sized bet has been placed . Nick Mordin ,a decent judge of foreign form, fancies the Asian horses to run 1,2,3 with Ambitious Dragon winning.
It could well get rough , Mutahadee looks big enough to hold his own in a barging match. Pace judgement by some of the jockeys could be a big factor.
CITYSCAPE, who has yet to score at the top level, was last seen finishing runner-up in the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Mile at Sha Tin last December and he delighted his trainer in a pre-race workout on Friday.
Charlton said: "Cityscape is really thriving on his first trip to Dubai. He cantered with James Doyle on the grass this morning and moved beautifully."

If he is ready, I see no reason why Await the Dawn can't win this and win it well.
Always highly regarded, his lto run was disappointing but that was an afterthought after a very serious illness following the International stakes @ York. Presumably he has been showing enough at home since then to warrant another Season of racing. He has an excellent draw and is joint top rated on RPR's. To my eyes if he is as good as he looked early last year then the 12/1 available is very big indeed. Tbh I can easily see him progressing to become the top older middle distance Colt in Europe this Year
Gl all you players in this race

Post Race View Await the Dawn set a decent pace which appeared fair for all. Cityscape travelled well and showed a decisive turn of foot and had the race won a fair way out. He clocked a seriously impressive time and there appeared no fluke about what looked a seriously impressive performance. Mutahadee was well positioned and ran a good race but was no match for the winner. The performance of Cityscape reminded me a little bit of when Gladiatorous won this race a few years ago, putting up a stunning performance, unfortunately he never reproduced the same performance. There is a possiblity Cityscape could go the same way and like Gladiatorous the surface ,flat track and warm weather could have brought out dramatic improvement.
