I forgot about this thread because a day or so before I read this.
Nicky Henderson’s exciting six-year-old grey Simonsig, ridden by Barry Geraghty, lifted the £15,000 BetVictor – sponsored Morebattle Hurdle in brilliant style on a memorable afternoon’s jumping action at Kelso on Wednesday 15 February. Simonsig (2-7 fav), owned by Ronnie Bartlett, cruised to victory from the gallant Knockara Beau in the two-mile two-furlong showcase in front of a 2200 crowd to clinch trebles at the meeting for Henderson and Geraghty. Lyvius (4-6 fav), owned by Trevor Hemmings, impressed on his hurdling debut and Bellvano (5-4 fav) starred in the novices’ chase for the all-conquering Lambourn yard in the glorious winter sunshine. “I’ve always hoped Simonsig might be a bit special and I think he probably is. He was impressive. Lyvius will improve an awful lot and Bellvano will be aimed at Aintree. It’s been a great day and Kelso have looked after us wonderfully well,” said Henderson. |

fair play to you my man hope you chopped it off large...after seeing Barry gwtting beqat on it at Newbury early in the season im wrote the horse off as many did as a bridle ponce.....eat humble pie,.....what did make me laugh was when he got beat at Newbury watched the race in a Billy Hills shop the horse got called a rarse pension teeth by a colourful punter cracked me up however i fell in the trap of thinking the same...sometimes we are too quisk to write off the horses..for a 1 bad run ,,,,,another lesson learnt
