Think they are aiming POS at the Grand National so they may be holding him back until the weights are out.

I have heard he is going for the gold cup and the grand national depending on weight but powder being kept dry until the aon, might be wrong guys but national weights should be out by then so any performance would then not prove problematic for his national weight, nothing to bank on but i guess it seems logical, he is quite big for the gold cup also and has to have a squeak if turning up

The race for him could be The Punchestown Gold Cup he won 2 years ago. Ground should be ideal by then and if kept fresh might be good enough to to regain the race. His Hennessy performance was very good and missed most of last year with a breathing problem so could be worth staying with.

That's a good call Booster, especially with the Irish stayers being so weak and so injury depleted.

Just think he could be kept fresh and run against horses who've been in a few battles during the spring. Not got many miles on the clock for a horse of his age and did me a favour when he won it 2 years ago.

The Grand National sounds an interesting target, but with his OR ( 158 ims), he won't be far off topweight. Punchestown would be more understandable, as has been pointed out above.

No idea whats happening with him,but ive had a cheeky couple of bob at huge price for Gold Cup.

Not the worst bet but think the trip just stretches his stamina. I backed him in The Hennessy and don't think he saw the trip out as well as the winner and was always seen as a 2 - 2 1/2 miler before he won at Punchestown.

I agree entirely with Booster's points but a couple of quid at 530 goes a long way.

It's hard to resist such value, even if his stamina looks suspect.
If Hobbs has Grand National aspirations, maybe he's putting a lot of trust in that old wives' tale about 2.5M chasers.
