that's part of the gn conundrum, trying to guesstimate what weight he would carry? I reckon a mark of 155 is attainable, leading to a burden of 11st 5lb approx. A lot to carry, but he's class imo.

Great to see him win. I backed him this morning, having almost talked myself out of it because of the ground. I was a bit surprised to hear he was retired immediately, seems to me they've just found his niche. Not sure quite why it's taken so long to up him in trip, he's looked to be crying out for it for years imo.I didn't think he'd got up tbh, but he's run so many brave races without winning that he really deserved this.
He was taken off his feet early on, not sure if he missed the kick or was just outpaced, but with softer ground he would have every chance of doing it again. I guess the owner couldn't face the thought of worrying about losing him and spoiling the memory

nice to see a horse with a touch of class win the race. Thought it a tad daft reading comments like he had no chance to be honest. He ran very well against Giles Cross, and jumps and stays really well. Was far too big on here yesterday morning and imo had to be backed, just wish i had more on him,but it is the national!!
