The handicapper has raised BRAMPOUR  by 9lbs from 159 to 168, yet GRANDOUET has only been raised by 2lbs from 164 to 166, dosen't make sense to me.

its because the jockey couldnt claim - but i would agree that taking the  quality of the jockey into consideration when handicapping is never usually done so why do it in this instance.

Only a ****ing idiot takes the jockeys claim into account. Brampour simply isn't as good as Grandouet. I know who I'd be backing in a match bet.

also it was good of the owners to let the young lad keep the ride when he couldnt claim - but who would do that now knowing the handicapper will punish them for it.
