Thoughts guys?
On first impression, Robinson Collonges looks like it should go well. Ran a decent race race to be 3rd in the grade 3 hcp hurdle @ Chepstow recently. He looked a novice chaser going places last Season before a fall in the novice chase vs Wishful Thinking. These fixed brush hurdles should hopefully bring about some improvement and if Nicholls runs King of the Night of top weight RC should get in around the 10 stone mark. Will be interesting to see how the race is priced up. |

I'm sure Paul Nicholls will be desperate to win a race with his name attached to it

King Of The Night has been really impressive in his last two races.
By:
He certainly has.
I would imagine they will stick a claimer on him, a la Brampour in the Greatwood. Maybe the same jock? |
By:
Any given day win here then go World Hurdle route?
By:
king of the night will win this if the ground is good!
high 150s hurdler. |
By:
rated 150 now, he might be a grade 1 horse if he takes to fences!
By:
KOTK is high 150 already
Robinson Collonges deffo the interesting one after his run lto, could have been a prep for this race |
By:
yes RC is another that didnt live up to expectations! cantering all over wishful thinking!! think the fixed brush are right up his street as the larger obstacles seem to be the problem!!
still rather king of the night on good ground, ive followed the horse from his bumper! |
By:
yeah sorry i meant 157
By:
actually made the initial commen before looking at his rating tbh
![]() he just has to run to his mark to win imo! |

No guarantee KOTN runs here. He is also in the Ascot Hurdle on Saturday too, always a chance he could go for that, though Nicholls has Celestial Halo entered there.
It depends if Nicholls thinks he is up to taking on Overturn and Oscar Whisky. In that Ascot race he would be carrying 11st whereas @ Haydock he will have to carry 11-12 giving lumps of weight away to some potentially progressive lightly raced types. Anyone 2nd guess Mr Nicholls ![]() |

Overturn also entered for fighting 5th ..
I guess KOTK going to Ascot would suggest Robsinso Collonges ? Who knows guv! |

Buena Vista to be beaten by 50 lengths+

By:
Sentry Duty is starting to look well hcpd of 149
Has run 2 ok races on the flat not beaten far. If he runs I will deffo have a few sheckles on ew, could out class these if back near his best. |

Highland Valley e/w at 14s is my idea of winner may prefer bit more cut though?
By:
What's the view on Sunnyhillboy? Surely have a great chance with 10lb claimer on IF it's ready.
By:
very tricky race so wont be betting in it. Gun to head would back Dynaste for Pipey who has the right blend of exposure and experience for a race like this.
Robinson Collonges is the fly in the oitment because he is very well handicapped based on his Chase form but I dont like the fact he has had just two hurdle starts in the UK. gl all. |
By:
Taken the 14/1 Sentry Duty
By:
robinson collonges!!
By:
Dynaste and Sentry Duty for me
By:
I would be satisfied with a Cape Tribulation win.
By:
Agree JOCI,think that Cape Tribulation has a massive chance at a great price,Jefferson has decent record in this race and this lad has a little bit of class about him, maybe his rating is a little high but has optimum conditions today and has an excellent record fresh,a real sporting bet at what they used to call a working mans price.

I think Knockara Beau can go well FTO.
By:
Hope you won a few quid bud, he looks a horse going places.
You think he can develop into a Stayers Hurdle contender ![]() |

Was bl00dy impressive, did not go in large-unfortunately,but a nice win all the same.
Not sure what they do with him,but they have to aim pretty high i think. Possibly another Grand Crus?? |
